About Us

Sieve is a multi-modal lab curating the world's highest-quality training datasets, spanning video, audio, images, text, and 3D. We combine exabyte-scale data infrastructure and novel multimodal understanding techniques that push the frontier of foundation models. Video alone makes up 80% of internet traffic, and across modalities, data has become the enabling medium powering creativity, communication, gaming, AR/VR, and robotics. Sieve exists to solve the biggest bottleneck in the growth of these applications: high-quality training data.

We partner with top AI labs and did $XXM last quarter alone, as a team of ~30 people. We also raised our Series A from Tier 1 firms such as Matrix Partners, Swift Ventures, Y Combinator, and AI Grant.

Why Now

Sieve is one of the most capital-efficient teams in AI, with roughly 30 people serving the world's leading AI labs across every major data modality. You'll join early, own problems end-to-end, and see your work directly shape how the business runs and grows.

About the Role

As an Operations Associate at Sieve, you'll help build and run every part of a growing business. You'll work across growth, operations, and recruiting, turning ideas into action and owning the projects that keep the company moving forward.

You're a jack of all trades with a high bar for execution. You learn quickly, bring structure to ambiguous problems, and follow through on the details. No task is too small, and you're comfortable taking on things you haven't done before.

What You'll Do

  • Support growth by researching opportunities, coordinating outreach, and helping execute and track growth initiatives

  • Keep operations running smoothly by managing day-to-day workflows, coordinating across teams, and solving problems as they come up

  • Keep the office organized, stocked, and welcoming by ordering supplies and snacks, restocking shared spaces, coordinating deliveries, and handling day-to-day office needs

  • Support recruiting by sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and delivering a thoughtful candidate and onboarding experience

  • Provide executive and event support, including scheduling, reservations, and logistics for team events, offsites, and gatherings (venues, catering, and attendee communication)

  • Own projects from start to finish by turning broad goals into clear plans, managing timelines, and delivering high-quality work

  • Step in wherever needed to take on new priorities and close gaps across the business

Requirements

  • Strong execution skills: organized, dependable, and detail-oriented

  • A proactive approach to spotting what needs to happen and taking initiative

  • Sound judgment about priorities, tradeoffs, and when to ask for help

  • Clear written and verbal communication

  • Curiosity and the ability to pick up new tools and unfamiliar topics quickly

  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities

  • A collaborative, low-ego attitude and a willingness to do hands-on work

What Success Looks Like

  • Projects move forward because you own them

  • Candidates and teammates have a smooth, responsive experience

  • The office stays stocked, organized, and ready for the team

  • Processes become simpler and more reliable

  • As you learn the business, you take on more complex work and become someone the team trusts to get things done

Compensation depends on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

All roles at Sieve require you to be onsite in San Francisco 5 days per week.
