Responsibilities •Design, build, and maintain system integrations across Hickory's technology environment via APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms •Own and extend Workato (or equivalent iPaaS) automations, ensuring reliable, well-monitored data flow between systems •Develop and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure and services supporting Hickory's integration and platform environment •Write and maintain scripts and small applications to extend integration capability where off-the-shelf connectors fall short •Apply version control and CI/CD practices to integration and platform code, ensuring changes are tested, reviewed, and deployed safely •Contribute to solution architecture and technical design for new integrations and platform capabilities •Apply AI tools and literacy to improve integration development, troubleshooting, and day-to-day platform engineering work •Support API management and, where relevant, monitoring/observability and security/identity configuration across integrated systems •Collaborate with stakeholders across Hickory's technology and business teams to translate requirements into practical solutions Requirements • 3 to 5 years relevant experience •Experienced with Azure or another major cloud platform, comfortable operating and troubleshooting cloud-hosted services •Hands-on experience with Workato or a comparable integration/iPaaS platform (e.g.
MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Logic Apps) - Workato experience preferred but not essential •Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and common integration patterns •Programming or scripting proficiency (e.g. Python, JavaScript, C#) sufficient to build and extend integrations •Practical experience with version control (e.g.
Git) and CI/CD pipelines •Working AI literacy - comfortable using AI-assisted tools to support development and problem-solving •Experience contributing to solution architecture or technical design for integration or platform work •Exposure to API management, monitoring/observability, or security/identity is an advantage, not a requirement •A strong, practical problem solver who is a self-starter, communicates well, and can work independently with a delivery focus Good to have Azure / cloud Workato and system integration APIs, webhooks and integration patterns Programming / scripting Version control and CI/CD AI literacy Solution architecture and technical design API management Monitoring, logging and observability Security / identity QA / testing Soft skills Strong problem solver Practical and delivery focused Good communicator Self starter who can work independently
