About the role As a Data Analyst at Plum Research, you’ll work with large-scale audience data to understand how people watch and engage with content across global streaming platforms.

You’ll work extensively in SQL, with Python for deeper analysis, data processing and automation. A big part of the role is turning ambiguous questions into clear analytical problems, investigating the data, and working out what the results actually mean. You’ll also communicate your findings to clients and internal teams, from answering ad-hoc questions to presenting analysis and explaining the story behind the numbers.

Your responsibilities Analyse complex datasets using Python and SQL to uncover key insights about audience behaviour Turn ambiguous or loosely defined questions into clear analytical problems and practical solutions Support ongoing data quality initiatives, ensuring our data outputs are gold standard Prepare and present compelling data summaries and visualisations for internal and client stakeholders Communicate analytical findings clearly, both in writing and in conversation Support client teams by responding to analytical questions and delivering fast, reliable solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine products and improve research accuracy Who we are looking for (must-have) Python programming for data transformation, modelling, and analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate unexpected results and identify the underlying cause SQL for querying, transforming, and integrating large datasets Solid understanding of statistical concepts and data interpretation Strong attention to detail and high standards for data integrity Excellent communication skills – especially in explaining analytical findings 1-2 years of previous experience in a data analyst role Nice to have Familiarity with the TV, streaming, or film industry Experience with BI tools or visualisation platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) Knowledge of surveys, panel data or audience measurement systems What we offer Salary based on experience and role scope A collaborative, innovation-driven culture Work at the cutting edge of media measurement, shaping how the biggest players in global media understand their audiences Red Sky leads the recruitment process.
