About Pairs
Pairs is a vetted private capital network. We put breakout US founders, from seed to Series B, in front of the family offices, VCs and strategic investors who know their market and can open the doors they need. We work only with the top 1% of deals, vet every founder and investor before they join, and invest our own money alongside our investors in a few of the companies we believe in most.

The role

We're hiring an Investor Relations Associate to grow the investor side of Pairs: the family offices, VCs and strategic investors our founders raise from. You'll support our senior investor team on live mandates and, from day one, build relationships of your own. You don't need a decade of experience or an investing background.

You need proof that you can build a network, a clear method for growing it, and a real drive to learn. The role isn't technical: software and AI run under the hood, so your time goes to investors, not admin.

What you'll own
• Your book: the investor relationships you bring and open here, qualified and kept warm
• Mandate support: investor qualification, briefing notes and follow-up on live deals
• New relationships: regular first conversations with investors new to Pairs
• Your growth: every call you shadow and every brief you write builds toward a senior role

What success looks like after 3 months
• 70–150 investor relationships in your book (150 is the cap)
• At least 10 meetings a week booked between our clients and your investors; 20–30 is strong

You're a fit if you
• Have built your own investor network, through a family office, placement, an accelerator, a fund, wealth management or your own initiative
• Know investors who back US-based startups (required: our mandates are US-only)
• Have made 100+ introductions between companies and investors
• Can explain how you find the right investors, start conversations and keep relationships warm
• Are eager to grow and learn from a senior team
• Communicate clearly and confidently, on calls and in writing
• Build trust by listening first and respecting investors' time
• Handle confidential information with care
• Use Claude confidently, including connectors and MCP servers

Compensation

OTE of $120,000–$160,000 USD, with a base of at least half of OTE.

Location and working style
Fully remote and async, open to candidates in any country where you already have the right to work (we can't offer visa sponsorship). Your day overlaps with US Eastern time for a few hours. You'll get the best AI tools, paid for, a senior team to learn from, live deal flow from week one, and a path to managing your own side of the network.

How to apply

Apply through our short form. Tell us about the network you've built, how you built it, and roughly how many company-investor introductions you've made.
