Paregal Assistant (Remote)

Job Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence in compliance with US, EU, AU, and UK laws.
- Manage and organise legal files, contracts, and case documentation in digital and physical formats.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with filing deadlines and legal requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
- Coordinate and liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of court documents, filings, and pleadings.
- Maintain accurate records of correspondence and legal activity for reporting purposes.
- Ad hoc tasks as needed to support the legal team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with US, EU, AU, and/or UK legal systems and regulations.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent English communication skills:
- Reading: High quality for legal documents.
- Writing: High quality for contracts and legal correspondence.
- Speaking: Neutral accent for effective communication with clients and legal teams.
- Proficient in legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and document management tools.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of legal tech tools, cloud-based systems, and document automation software.
