Job Summary

Ellit Groups is seeking an experienced Willow PharmD Informaticist to support post-Go-Live optimization of Epic Willow and pharmacy-related clinical information systems. This role will combine pharmacy informatics expertise, Epic Willow knowledge, and strong analytical skills to improve medication management workflows, system functionality, end-user adoption, and patient safety.

A key focus of this position will be evaluating an existing backlog of approximately 2,500 support tickets, identifying common themes and issue categories, and partnering with the Epic Willow team to determine opportunities for system build, application optimization, and workflow improvement. The Willow PharmD Informaticist will assess pharmacy-related clinical systems for effective and efficient use, analyze current workflows, identify areas for improvement, and help prioritize optimization efforts.

The Informaticist will collaborate with clinical, pharmacy, Health Informatics, and technical stakeholders to support analysis, testing, documentation, education, implementation, and optimization activities. Responsibilities include evaluating pharmacy workflows and clinical content, supporting order-set review and updates, troubleshooting end-user issues, assisting with system upgrades and enhanced functionality, communicating workflow and system changes, and identifying opportunities to improve technology adoption and clinical efficiencies.

This individual will also provide education and ongoing system support to clinicians and providers, identify education and competency needs, participate in knowledge transfer, and help ensure standardized best practices are incorporated into pharmacy and medication-management workflows. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and escalating operational or technical issues when appropriate.

  • Experience supporting, optimizing, or administering clinical information systems.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, data management, and system administration.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing clinical workflows and identifying opportunities for system and process optimization.
  • Experience supporting Epic Willow build, configuration, testing, implementation, or optimization activities.
  • Ability to analyze a high volume of application issues or support tickets, identify common themes and trends, and translate findings into actionable build or workflow optimization opportunities.
  • Experience providing end-user support and troubleshooting clinical system issues.
  • Experience supporting system upgrades, new releases, enhanced functionality, and associated workflow changes.
  • Knowledge of hospital practices and procedures, pharmacy practice standards, and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy and medication management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with pharmacy, clinical, informatics, technical, operational, quality, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing or analyzing a significant post-Go-Live ticket backlog and identifying opportunities for build and workflow improvements.
  • ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency.
  • Experience leading or supporting clinician and provider training for clinical information systems.
  • Experience developing education and competency validation plans related to clinical systems.
  • Experience mentoring and training team members on pharmacy informatics systems.
  • Experience facilitating knowledge transfer and adoption of standardized pharmacy informatics best practices across multiple facilities or healthcare entities.
  • Experience with clinical content and order-set review and optimization.
