Regional Sales Manager AquaEye

Join an innovative technology company using AI to help first responders save lives on the water. Grow your career in technology sales at the leading edge of artificial intelligence and public safety, selling a product that makes a real difference when every minute counts.

About AquaEye

VodaSafe develops AquaEye Pro, a handheld sonar system that uses artificial intelligence to help rescue teams locate people underwater. Our mission is to turn hours of searching into minutes, and give first responders the tools to act quickly when every minute matters.

The opportunity

As Regional Sales Manager, you own the revenue target for your territory. You'll work directly with fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and search and rescue teams, alongside dealers, distributors, and sales representatives, to drive growth.

Our SDR team qualifies inbound and outbound leads and hands them to you. From there, you own each deal through evaluation, demonstration, quoting, and close. You'll also develop your own opportunities through partners, events, and existing customer relationships.

Our sales process is consultative and hands-on. You'll learn how each team operates, understand the gaps they need to address, and show how AquaEye supports their mission. Much of that work happens in the field, where customers experience the technology for themselves.

Public safety buying takes patience. Many purchases move through annual budgets, grant funding, formal quotes, and council or board approval. You'll help customers navigate that process and keep deals moving.

What you'll do

  • Grow your territory: Manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities and deliver against your revenue target.
  • Lead field demonstrations: Travel your region to show AquaEye Pro in action and help teams evaluate it in their own waters, from shorelines, docks, and boats.
  • Navigate public sector purchasing: Support customers through budgeting, grant applications, quotes, and procurement requirements.
  • Develop sales partners: Train and support dealers, distributors, and representatives so they can confidently demonstrate and sell AquaEye.
  • Represent AquaEye at events: Staff tradeshows, fire chiefs' conferences, and dive and rescue forums in your region.
  • Set customers up for success: Coordinate onboarding and the training handoff so new customers are operational quickly.
  • Keep HubSpot current: Log activity, next steps, and forecasts so progress is visible and commitments are met.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of sales experience, with a record of meeting targets and closing business.
  • A consultative approach: you listen carefully, uncover needs, and connect solutions to customer priorities.
  • Patience and persistence with longer buying cycles, and the discipline to follow up consistently.
  • Confidence presenting to groups and learning to demonstrate technical products.
  • The ability to build productive relationships with both end users and sales partners.
  • The ability to travel up to 80% of the time for product demonstrations, product training, and strategic relationship building. Comfort with hands-on work outdoors, near and on the water, in a range of weather.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to transport and handle demo equipment.
  • A desire to learn, take coaching, and grow your career.

Nice to have: experience selling equipment, working with dealer networks, serving public safety customers, supporting grant funded or government purchases, or using HubSpot.
