Independent Contractor – CPT-11762 Medical Scribe & Charting Virtual Assistant/Business Support VA/Junior-Senior Level (Remote).

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

A Nurse Practitioner providing patient care across multiple healthcare facilities is seeking a full-time Medical Scribe & Charting VA to support daily clinical documentation, patient note preparation, and related administrative responsibilities.

The VA will work directly with the Nurse Practitioner to help prepare and complete patient documentation, organize medical information, and maintain accurate clinical records. The organization is transitioning to ChartPath for charting beginning November 15. ChartPath experience is preferred but not required if the candidate has experience with comparable electronic medical record systems and can quickly learn the new platform. PointClickCare will also remain part of the workflow, as detailed below.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

Medical Charting & Documentation

• Create accurate and complete medical documentation during or after patient encounters
• Document relevant patient information, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
• Review documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Maintain consistent medical terminology and formatting
• Assist the Nurse Practitioner with completing daily charting responsibilities

Patient Note Preparation

• Receive the Nurse Practitioner’s patient list and daily instructions
• Review available medical history, diagnoses, and relevant patient information
• Prepare or pre-fill patient notes before appointments or visits
• Ensure necessary information and documentation are available for the provider
• Organize notes after visits for efficient completion and review

Real-Time & Provider-Directed Note Support

• Review notes and information provided by the Nurse Practitioner
• Amend and organize documentation according to the provider’s instructions
• Support real-time or post-visit documentation as required by the workflow
• Capture information accurately and concisely
• Communicate directly with the Nurse Practitioner regarding missing or unclear information

EMR & Document Management

• Enter and maintain clinical documentation in ChartPath
• Navigate PointClickCare for patient information and documentation as required
• Use OneDrive for applicable document storage and file management
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records
• Prevent duplicate, incomplete, or incorrectly filed documentation

HIPAA Compliance & Confidentiality

• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and protected health information
• Follow HIPAA requirements and client security procedures
• Handle medical information securely across all systems and communication channels
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, integrity, and discretion

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.

Skills

The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation required
• EMR / EHR documentation experience required
• Excellent written English required
• Strong organization and attention to detail required
• Ability to handle a fast-paced clinical workload required
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar healthcare software required
• Prior experience as a Medical Scribe, Healthcare VA, Nurse VA, or similar healthcare support professional strongly preferred
• Prior experience supporting a Nurse Practitioner, physician, or other medical provider strongly preferred
• HIPAA certification strongly preferred
• ChartPath experience preferred but not required
• PointClickCare experience preferred but not required
• OneDrive experience preferred

Work Schedule

• Contracted Hours per Week: 40 Hours
• Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing)
• Daily Working Time: TBD – Schedule to Be Coordinated With Client

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Terms of Engagement

• Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
• This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
• All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
