TL;DR — For remote sales roles, start with RepVue, which pairs open sales jobs with what reps report about quota attainment and pay at each company. Then add a remote-only board such as We Work Remotely or Remotive, plus Wellfound for startups. Sales has the highest US-only share of any remote field in our index, 31.6%, so read the location line before you read the title.
What a sales job board should tell you
Most boards treat a sales opening like any other listing. For a seller, three facts decide whether a job is worth taking, and most listings leave at least one of them out:
- Which pay you are looking at. Sales postings often quote on-target earnings (OTE), the total at 100% of quota, rather than base salary.
- Where you may live. A territory is tied to customers and their working hours, so "remote" in sales often means remote within one country.
- Whether the team hits its number. An OTE that few reps reach is a recruiting figure, not a pay forecast.
That is how we compare the boards below. For the wider picture, including which sales roles travel best to remote work, see our guide to remote sales jobs.

Board by board
RepVue
RepVue is built on what sales reps report about their employers. Reps rate companies they have worked for anonymously and in return get free access to the rest of the data: quota attainment, OTE and base pay, and culture scores by company. Its jobs board has separate pages for account executive, account manager and remote sales roles.
Use it as a second step: build a shortlist anywhere, then look each company up before you apply. RepVue's Cloud Sales Index, drawn from the same reports, put quota attainment at 43.83% for Q4 2025, the highest level it had recorded since Q2 2023. Treat that as a baseline; a company whose reps report attainment well above it is more likely to set quotas people can hit.
We Work Remotely
We Work Remotely lists only remote jobs, and sales shares a category with marketing, so expect some content and campaign roles. Its value for sellers is the label on each listing, such as "Anywhere in the World", "USA" or a named country: the fastest territory check on this list. Applying is free.
Remotive
Remotive's remote sales page tags every listing with where it hires: USA, UK, Worldwide, or a specific country or region. Part of the board is free; a paid membership, priced by plan and country, unlocks the full list, earlier access to new jobs and extra filters.
Wellfound
Wellfound focuses on startups: more than 27,000 hire there, according to the company, and most listings show salary and equity before you apply. Profiles are free and private by default. An early sales hire often writes the playbook, so ask how the quota was set when there is little sales history to set it from.
Built In
Built In covers tech companies, and its remote sales listings often show a pay range, a seniority level and the work arrangement. Read that last label: "Remote or Hybrid" and "In-Office or Remote" are not fully remote. The site is free to use.
Pavilion
Pavilion is a paid, private community for go-to-market leaders. Its pricing page lists a private, member-only job board and an On the Bench program for members looking for a role as benefits of the Executive tier and above, which is aimed at VPs and C-suite leaders; the Associate tier is for managers and directors. Prices depend on seniority and location, so it suits leaders who want the community as well as the jobs.
LinkedIn is where the volume is and where recruiters come looking, so a profile with your quota numbers does part of the search for you. Filter strictly and read every location line. Premium Career costs US$39.99 a month in the US, with a free trial, and adds features such as five InMail credits a month.
Company careers pages
In our index, 57.7% of remote sales roles came from employers' own careers pages rather than job boards, and a careers page is usually where a role appears first. Check your target companies directly, or let a tool watch them: RemoteHunt pulls remote jobs from 20+ sources and company career pages, refreshed every two hours, and shows where each employer says it can hire. For the general remote boards across all fields, see our comparison of remote job boards.
What our index says about remote sales roles
Measured on 13 September 2026. Sales here covers account executives, SDRs and BDRs, account management, sales engineering and partnerships.
| Measure | Remote sales roles | All remote roles |
| Live roles | 7,206 | 48,522 |
| Posted on employers' own careers pages | 57.7% | 58.1% |
| State pay | 25.0% | 20.6% |
| Say they hire worldwide | 6.0% | 7.8% |
| List only the United States | 31.6% | 24.1% |
| Don't say where they hire | 26.2% | 42.0% |
| Junior or internship | 8.4% (607) | 8.0% (3,866) |
Sales is the most US-locked remote field. 31.6% of remote sales roles hire only in the United States, the highest share of any field we track, and only 6.0% say they hire worldwide.
Sales postings are more explicit about location. Only 26.2% leave hiring geography unstated, against 42.0% across all remote roles, but what they state is often a single country.
Pay is stated more often, but check which pay. One sales posting in four states pay, against about one in five overall, and in sales that number is often OTE rather than base. Our plain-English guide to OTE explains the split.
Territory: read the location before the title
In sales, where you may live usually follows the territory you would cover: a rep carrying North American accounts is typically expected to work North American hours and to be employable where the company hires.
- "Remote, US" means you must live in, and be able to work in, the US.
- A region such as EMEA, APAC or LATAM usually names the territory; check which countries the employer can hire in.
- A time-zone requirement, such as overlap with Pacific time, applies even when the country is open.
- No location at all is not the same as worldwide. Ask before you tailor an application.
Outside the US, start with listings labeled worldwide or with your region, and favor territories that match where you live. Our country pages collect postings from employers' own careers pages that say they can hire in a given country; on 13 September 2026 there were 852 for India and 833 for Brazil, across all fields.
Judging OTE and quota before you apply
OTE is what the company pays at 100% of quota. Whether you will see it depends on the quota, which you can test with arithmetic and a few questions.
Run the numbers. Divide the annual quota by the average deal size to get deals per year, then by a realistic win rate to get the opportunities you need. An illustrative example: a $600,000 quota at a $20,000 average deal is 30 closed deals a year; at a 25% win rate, that is 120 qualified opportunities, about 10 a month. Then ask where those 10 a month come from.
Ask these on the first call:
- What share of the team reached quota last year? Compare the answer with RepVue.
- How long is the ramp, what is the ramped quota, and is pay guaranteed while you ramp?
- Who creates pipeline: SDRs, marketing or you?
- Has the territory changed recently, and is it named accounts or an open patch?
Sanity-check the band. If an OTE sits far outside the usual range for the title, either the title or the quota is inflated. Our account executive salary data is a starting point.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best job board for remote sales jobs?
No single board wins, but RepVue is the most sales-specific: it pairs open jobs with what reps report about quota attainment and OTE at each company. Add a remote-only board such as We Work Remotely or Remotive, and Wellfound for startups. Check careers pages too: 57.7% of remote sales roles in our index came from them.
Is RepVue free for job seekers?
Yes. Listings are free to browse, and reps who anonymously rate a company they have worked for get free access to all of RepVue's company data, including quota attainment, OTE and base pay.
Why are so many remote sales jobs limited to the US?
Sales roles are tied to territories and customers' working hours, and employers can only hire where they can employ or contract people. In our index, 31.6% of remote sales roles list only the United States, the highest share of any field, and 6.0% say worldwide. Candidates elsewhere do better with EMEA, APAC or LATAM territories.
How do I know if a sales quota is realistic?
Ask what share of the team hit quota last year, how long the ramp is, and who creates the pipeline. Then divide the quota by the average deal size and by the win rate to see how many opportunities you would need each year. RepVue adds what reps report about attainment.
Does Pavilion have a job board?
Yes, but it is private: a member-only board for the Executive tier and above, which is aimed at VPs and C-suite leaders. Membership is paid and priced by seniority and location.
