We are a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs.

We have leveraged our expertise and capabilities both to commercialize three vaccines, including the world’s first chikungunya vaccine, and to rapidly advance a broad range of vaccine candidates into and through the clinic, including candidates against Lyme disease and Zika.

Valneva USA is focused on the marketing and distribution of vaccines for Japanese encephalitis and chikungunya.

The Senior Business Operations Manager serves as a U.S. strategic leader responsible for overseeing 3PL and end-to-end vaccine logistics operations across the market. This role drives operational excellence by optimizing distribution networks, enhancing supply reliability, and delivering sustainable cost efficiencies while ensuring full compliance with FDA, CDC, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

As a key member of the U.S. leadership team, this position aligns logistics and commercial operations with broader corporate strategy to support product launches, government contracting, and ongoing lifecycle management within the vaccine portfolio. The role champions cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and Global Supply teams to ensure seamless execution.

With a strong focus on scalability and agility, the Senior Business Operations Manager leverages data-driven insights, process standardization, and continuous improvement methodologies to strengthen supply continuity, mitigate risk, and enable long-term growth in a highly regulated and mission-critical environment.

Requirements

U.S. Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Serve as the U.S. strategic lead for business operations and vaccine logistics, aligning supply chain, finance, commercial, quality, and global teams to deliver operational excellence.
  • Provide executive-level performance reporting and insights to the U.S. Head to ensure leadership alignment and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead U.S. contracting operations across government (including Military) and private market partnerships, overseeing financial analytics, compliance, and execution performance.

Supply Chain & 3PL Oversight

  • Own end-to-end U.S. vaccine supply chain strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and full compliance with GMP, FDA, and State Board of Pharmacy requirements (serving as Designated Representative nationwide).
  • Oversee 3PL distribution operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, cold-chain integrity, inventory control, returns management, and sales order administration.
  • Partner with global supply chain on demand planning, transfer pricing, U.S. Customs coordination, and inventory optimization to minimize expiry risk and protect supply continuity.
  • Lead engagement with wholesalers and distributors, ensuring contract compliance, inventory discipline, issue resolution, and regulatory adherence.

Pricing, Government Reporting & Contract Administration

  • Direct pricing governance and contract administration, including distributor agreements, rebate management, chargebacks, and customer compliance.
  • Calculate and submit required U.S. government pricing reports (e.g., NFAMP, FCP), ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.
  • Implement and operationalize new pricing structures, membership agreements, and commercial contracts.

Sales & Commercial Operations Support

  • Oversee sales analytics and reporting infrastructure, managing data sources and remote analyst teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Partner with the GM and Sales Leadership on incentive compensation reporting and commercial performance tracking.

Quality & Compliance Leadership

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain rigorous regulatory standards across 3PL and distribution operations both for the US and alignment globally.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate compliance, logistics, and operational risks.
  • Embed continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen efficiency, scalability, and control.

U.S. Business Operations Management

  • Lead administrative and operational infrastructure for the U.S. entity, including HR benefits oversight, vendor and fleet management, office operations, and employee onboarding.
  • Manage cost controls across operational budgets while maintaining high service levels and employee engagement.
  • Support organizational effectiveness through coordination of meetings, trainings, and cross-functional initiatives.
