About Tessera Labs

Tessera is an AI-native platform for enterprise transformation. The multi-agent platform delivers governed execution across ERP, CRM, HCM, and finance systems, cutting timelines from years to weeks and costs by more than half. Built on deep expertise across Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Workday, and other systems of record, Tessera address the scope a system integrator would have traditionally taken up with the speed of execution and efficiency of an AI-native platform.

For decades, enterprises have struggled with fragmented business systems, where migrations have consumed hundreds of millions of dollars, data stayed inconsistent and unreliable, and business processes slowed under manual review. Tessera was founded to change that, for Oracle and every other system enterprises depend on. The name itself — a tessera, a single tile in a mosaic — reflects our mission: unifying the disparate pieces of the enterprise into a coherent whole. Tessera is an AI-powered, multi-agent platform that harmonizes systems and lets teams work in plain English.

Role Summary

We are looking for an Oracle E-Business Suite Order-to-Cash Architect to own the OTC domain across several customer engagements at the same time. This is a specialist Oracle OTC role, and that is deliberate. Our Principal Solution Architects hold the whole solution; you hold the part of it in OTC that most often decides whether a program lands on time — the flow from order capture through pricing, fulfilment, invoicing and cash application, and the fifteen or twenty years of customization sitting on top of it.

Most of this work is migration. Customers come to us with EBS order-to-cash estates that have been extended, bolted onto and worked around since 11i: custom pricing engines, interface tables nobody owns, workflows that were forked and never merged back, and a shipping process that only one person understands. The job is to tell the difference between a genuine business requirement and an accident of history, and to architect the path forward on that basis — whether that path is Oracle Fusion Cloud, a phased coexistence, or a deliberate decision to leave something where it is.

You will do that work with Tessera’s AI agents, not instead of them. The platform handles the customization inventory, the dependency tracing, the data profiling and a large share of the conversion build. What it cannot do is decide which of four hundred pricing modifiers the business actually needs, or which of six order types exists only because somebody left in 2014. That judgment is the role. Every time you exercise it, we expect it to go back into the platform so the agents are better at it on the next engagement.

Two outcomes define the job. The first is a target-state order-to-cash design the customer’s own architects will defend after we step back. The second is that their teams use what we built rather than rebuilding the workarounds they had before. The second is what makes the first durable, and it is the measure you will be held to.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Order-to-Cash Solution Ownership (40%)
  • Own the functional and architectural direction of the order-to-cash domain on several concurrent engagements — Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Shipping Execution, Receivables, and the credit, tax, revenue and collections processes that hang off them.

  • Design the target state and the route to it, including the trade-offs between what the customer asked for, what their current system does, and what will actually create value.

  • Set the standard for the build: review designs, define conversion and cutover approach for OTC data, and hold architectural integrity through delivery rather than signing off and leaving.

  • Work directly with Forward Deployed Engineers, Tessera AI agents and customer architects, and be the person who can answer an OTC question without scheduling a follow-up.

  • Own the integration surface out of OTC — EDI, tax engines, payment and banking, CRM, transportation and warehouse systems, downstream finance — and say early when a dependency will not hold.

  • Be the counterpart our Technical Program Managers come to first on order-to-cash, and get a straight answer from.

  1. EBS Assessment and Migration Architecture (25%)
  • Lead order-to-cash discovery on EBS estates: customization inventory, interface mapping, data quality, process debt, and what each of those is costing the business today.

  • Separate requirement from habit. Produce a defensible recommendation on what carries forward to Oracle Fusion Cloud as standard, what is genuinely differentiating, and what should be retired.

  • Architect the transition path — new implementation, EBS migration, or phased coexistence — and be clear about where each one hurts.

  • Own the OTC data story: customer master, open orders, open receivables, price lists and history, through to conversion design and reconciliation.

  • Make the case, with evidence, when a customer’s plan will not survive contact with their own data.

  1. Platform Enablement and Product Input (20%)
  • Contribute your order-to-cash domain know-how back into the Tessera platform, so the agents get better at this work with every engagement.

  • Turn what you find in the field into product input — patterns, rules and accelerators — so one fix serves many customers instead of one.

  • Support pre-sales on Oracle opportunities with an OTC component: scope, approach, effort and risk, alongside the client partner and the Principal Architect. Tell the go-to-market team what is real and what is not.

  • Reach real fluency in the Tessera platform early, and become the person others ask about how it handles order-to-cash.

  1. Customer Adoption and Knowledge Transfer (15%)
  • Treat adoption as a deliverable, not a hope. Make the new design the default path for the customer’s order management, fulfilment and receivables teams, and retire the workarounds.

  • Find where adoption stalls — process, skills, trust, or a real product gap — and fix the cause rather than the symptom.

  • Build the customer-side advocates who carry the design after we step back, including the superusers who will own it day to day.

  • Feed your view of engagement staffing into Center of Excellence capacity planning: which OTC skills are needed, in what order, for how long.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years in Oracle enterprise applications with order-to-cash as your centre of gravity, including architect-level ownership on at least two full-lifecycle EBS implementations, upgrades or transformations.

  • Deep, current, hands-on depth in EBS R12 order-to-cash: Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Shipping Execution and Receivables, with working knowledge of the adjacent modules the flow depends on — Inventory, Install Base, Service Contracts, Credit Management, Tax and Cash Management.

  • Command of the OTC data model and the integration surface, not just the configuration screens: the order, delivery, pricing and receivables tables, Order Import and AutoInvoice, open interface tables, concurrent programs, Oracle Workflow, and how customizations were built and where they bite during a migration.

  • Fluency in the business process behind the configuration — pricing and discount strategy, credit and holds, drop ship and back-to-back, returns and RMA, revenue recognition, billing, disputes and collections. You can hold a conversation with a controller as easily as with a developer.

  • Practical knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud order-to-cash and what a move from EBS actually involves: functional gaps, FBDI and other conversion paths, Oracle Integration Cloud, and the parts of a migration that are routinely underestimated.

  • Senior client-facing presence: able to hold a room of customer architects, business owners and finance stakeholders, and to say no to a customer in a way that keeps the relationship.

  • A record of driving adoption, not just go-live — evidence that the customer’s teams kept using what you delivered.

  • Proven ability to work on several engagements at once without losing control of any of them.

  • Proven ability to learn a new AI platform quickly and become the person others ask. You will be expected to reach real fluency in the Tessera platform within your first months.

  • Excellent verbal and written business English, with strong presentation ability to both business and technical audiences.

  • Experience working with distributed (onshore, nearshore and offshore) delivery teams, with strong asynchronous communication discipline.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Who This Role Is Not For

If your order-to-cash experience is running support tickets and minor enhancements on a stable EBS instance, this is not the role — the work here is architectural and most of it is change. If you have breadth across Oracle but have never owned the OTC data model end to end, you would be better placed as a Principal Architect, and we hire for that separately. And if you want one engagement at a time with a scope someone else agreed, you will find this uncomfortable. We are asking for a specialist who is at ease holding several unfinished things at once, and who is willing to have their judgment turned into platform capability rather than kept as personal expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Delivered order-to-cash on at least one Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation, not only assessed one.

  • Experience of more than one route to Fusion Cloud — from EBS, JD Edwards, or a non-Oracle ERP.

  • Industry depth where order-to-cash is genuinely hard: high-tech and semiconductor, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, distribution, or subscription and usage-based models.

  • Exposure to adjacent Oracle pillars — Subscription Management, Configure Price Quote, Transportation and Global Trade Management, or Fusion Data Intelligence.

  • Revenue recognition under ASC 606 in an Oracle context, including Revenue Management Cloud.

  • EDI and B2B integration at volume, and experience with a third-party tax engine such as Vertex or Avalara.

  • Prior experience partnering with AI, automation or RPA tooling inside an enterprise delivery context.

  • Oracle Unified Method (OUM) or equivalent implementation methodology experience.

  • Oracle certifications, for example Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management or Receivables Implementation Professional.

  • Spanish, Portuguese or German is a plus but not a must-have.

First-Year Measures of Success

  • Month 3: Fluent in the Tessera platform. Holding order-to-cash on at least two engagements. Trusted by the Technical Program Managers and the Principal Architects on those accounts.

  • Month 6: A target-state OTC design agreed and in build on every engagement you hold, with the customization backlog triaged and the data position understood. Adoption measured and improving. A steady flow of OTC field input reaching the Tessera platform team.

  • Month 12: Your order-to-cash designs are live and the customer’s own teams are running them without us. What you learned has changed at least one thing in how the platform handles OTC, so the next engagement starts further ahead than yours did.
