About the role

StemWave is hiring a remote, full-time Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate new device revenue alongside our Account Executive (closer) team. StemWave makes shockwave therapy devices for clinics and practitioners, and our devices sell at an average of about $75,500.

You own the top of the funnel: responding to inbound leads within minutes, prospecting and re-engaging past interest, qualifying fit, and booking consults that show. You then stay in the deal with your AE through close and a clean handoff to Client Success.

Reports to: Sales leadership Type: Full-time, remote (US)

What you’ll do

Inbound lead response

  • Call every new inbound pricing request within 5 minutes during business hours (9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET); expect roughly 8–12 new leads per day.

  • Work warm leads: prospects who requested information but didn’t book, booked but didn’t show, or opted into a low-ticket offer (guide, e-book).

  • Follow up persistently with leads who don’t answer on first contact.

Prospecting and nurturing

  • Self-generate about 20 consults per month through outbound and organic channels: our Facebook community, funnel opt-ins, past inbound deals, and applicants who booked but never completed an application.

  • Build multi-touch follow-up cadences by phone, text and email to move prospects from interest to a booked consult.

  • Make roughly 75 total dials per day, regardless of inbound volume.

Qualifying and setting appointments

  • Qualify prospects for fit (clinical use case, budget, timing, decision-maker) before booking.

  • Set and confirm consults on your AE’s calendar, targeting 40+ shown consults per month.

Supporting the AE through close

  • Brief your AE on each prospect’s needs and objections before the call.

  • Stay in the deal after the consult (follow-ups, information requests and next steps) until it’s signed.

  • Hand closed clients to Client Success with complete deal notes and the right introductions.

CRM and reporting (daily)

  • Keep the CRM pipeline current: correct stage, notes on every touched deal, updated due dates, and follow-up tasks for every potential fit.

  • Submit an end-of-day report and update your personal projections sheet and the team tracking sheet.

  • Attend the 9:00 AM ET team huddle Monday–Friday knowing your actuals, projections and pace, with wins and blockers to share.

How success is measured

  • Front-end device sales: 4–6 per month (about $377,500 in monthly production)

  • Shown consults: 40+ per month (~10 per week)

  • Live-call close rate: 15% minimum, with qualified, good-fit buyers

  • Total dials: 75 per day

  • Inbound speed-to-lead: under 5 minutes during business hours

  • Self-generated consults: ~20 per month

  • CRM and end-of-day reporting: complete and current every day

What we’re looking for

Experience

  • 1–3+ years in a BDR, SDR, appointment-setting or inside sales role with daily activity and conversion targets.

  • Comfort with high-volume phone work and fast inbound response.

  • Hands-on CRM use and disciplined pipeline hygiene.

  • Nice to have: experience selling to medical, wellness, chiropractic or aesthetic practices, or selling high-ticket equipment ($25k+).

Traits that predict success here

  • Rapport: you connect quickly with people on the phone (you don’t need to be an extrovert).

  • Integrity: you follow through, are honest with prospects, and only advance buyers who are a real fit.

  • Leadership: you guide prospects to the right decision, even when it’s outside their comfort zone.

  • Work ethic: you’re hungry, put in the reps, and keep sharpening your craft.

  • Ownership: you always know where you stand against your numbers and why.

  • Attention to detail: your CRM and reports are accurate without reminders.

  • Poise: you stay calm and steady in high-stakes conversations.

Schedule and location

  • Full-time (40+ hours/week), fully remote.

  • Flexible schedule, with enough calendar open to hit ~75 dials per day.

  • Available on Slack 8:00 AM–6:00 PM ET and at the 9:00 AM ET daily huddle, Monday–Friday.

  • Time off available with advance notice.

Compensation

On-target earnings are about $81,300–$117,500 per year at 4–6 sales per month, with no cap.

  • Base salary: $36,000/year ($3,000/month)

  • Commission on front-end device sales, paid on cash collected. Your rate is set by your monthly volume:

  • 2–3 sales: 1.00% (~$755 per deal)

  • 4–5 sales: 1.25% (~$944 per deal)

  • 6–7 sales: 1.50% (~$1,133 per deal)

  • 8+ sales: 2.00% (~$1,510 per deal)

  • Top performers at 8+ sales per month earn around $181,000 per year, with a path to $200,000+ for exceptional producers.
