About The Role
SafeRide Health is hiring a Compliance Reporting Analyst to deliver accurate, on-time reporting to our MCO clients and Medicare and Medicaid programs, with a focus on supporting the team's goal of automating more manual reporting processes. As our business grows, so does the volume of that work. Reporting directly to our Senior Reporting and Encounters Program Manager, this role will own report production, quality assurance, and submission tracking. Collaborating across all SafeRide teams, this role will have particularly strong partnerships with our Data Analytics team, as well as with Product and Operations.
This role will help shape how our reporting compliance function runs, identifying gaps, strengthening processes, and adding to building the foundation of the function to support scale as we grow. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by supporting today's manual reporting, helping drive towards more automation, so members can reliably get the care they need.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
First 30 days: Absorb & Assist
-
Learn SafeRide Health's data sources, validation requirements, and submission workflows by shadowing a full reporting cycle, including the peak 1st–15th of the month.
-
Build foundational knowledge of the CFR, MCO agreements, and state Medicaid handbooks behind assigned reports.
-
Begin executing assigned reports under guidance, demonstrating accuracy in data entry, QA, and formatting.
-
Build relationships with core partners and bring a fresh lens to current manual processes, flagging gaps along the way.
-
By day 60: Contribute & Collaborate
-
Take ownership of assigned recurring reports, delivering accurate, on-time submissions.
-
Serve as the bridge between reporting needs and Data Analytics capacity, turning requests and defects into clear, actionable tickets.
-
Begin strengthening existing processes by documenting workflows and identifying inefficiencies
-
By day 90: Own & Optimize
-
Own assigned recurring government and client reporting end-to-end, setting priorities and timelines across owned reports.
-
Lead process optimization and automation efforts for client reporting in partnership with Data Analytics.
-
First 6 Months Expected Outcomes:
-
Deliver owned reports accurately and on time.
-
Serve as a foundational contributor in standing up, strengthening, and stabilizing reporting processes, including automation where it makes sense.
-
Own process improvements that strengthen SafeRide Health's compliance.
-
Serve as a foundational contributor in establishing our new reporting processes across the program, strengthening and stabilizing them so they’re repeatable and ready for automation where appropriate.
-
Showcase ownership of process optimization and strengthen our compliance through it.
-
Own process optimization efforts that strengthen SafeRide Health’s compliance and mitigate reporting risk as we scale.
-
Additional Responsibilities:
-
Perform prescribed QA checks, identifying discrepancies, broken formulas, and unexplained variances, then escalating risks before they become deadline threats.
-
Maintain current SOPs, field mappings, regulatory research, and decision logs; support repeatable, audit-ready processes.
What You’ll Bring
-
Required:
-
2+ years of experience as a Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role working hands-on with data, including building reports, analyzing datasets, and validating data accuracy.
-
Of those 2+ years in a hands-on data role, 1+ year in the healthcare, healthcare regulatory research, and/or health plan ops space, working on regulatory analysis and preparing regulatory reports.
-
Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data validation, and data concatenation, with strong data entry accuracy and prescribed QA discipline.
-
Working knowledge of SQL, data-query languages, or Python scripting with the ability to bridge communication with the data analytics team and understand technical data flows.
-
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.
-
Strategic critical thinker and problem solver with the ability to use independent judgment to find answers, apply regulatory requirements to operational limitations, and understand system-wide impact.
-
Ability to manage multiple deadlines while documenting steps and gaps and keeping compliance reports and submission records audit-ready.
-
An ownership mindset and drive to grow beyond data entry into process improvement, automation, and strategic work that helps the company scale.
-
Open to travel 2-4 times per year for company or team offsites.
-
Legally authorized to work in the US.
-
Highly Preferred:
-
Medicare/Medicaid reporting experience, including navigating the CFR, MCO agreements, and state Medicaid handbooks.

Understanding of health plan operations, such as claims processing, utilization management, prior authorizations, and call center operations.
-
Strong project and stakeholder management skills, building trusted relationships that influence collaboratively across teams.
-
