At R2, we believe that small and medium businesses are the productive engine of society. Small and medium businesses (SMBs) make up over 90% of companies in Latin America, yet they face a trillion-dollar credit gap. Our mission is to unlock SMBs’ potential by providing financial solutions that are tailored to their needs. We are reimagining the financial infrastructure of Latin America, where SMBs financial needs are satisfied without ever having to go to a bank.

R2 enables platforms in Latin America to embed financial services that SMBs can then leverage (starting with revenue-based financing). We are a tight-knit team coming from organizations such as Google, Amazon, Nubank, Uber, Capital One, Mercado Libre, Globant, and J.P. Morgan. We are entering a new phase of growth following a strategic investment from Ant International, focused on rapidly expanding our partner footprint, strengthening our credit and underwriting capabilities, and scaling our operations across multiple markets.

As a Consolidation & Reporting Sr Analyst (IC3) , you will be responsible for preparing the group’s monthly consolidation and financial reporting across all entities where R2 operates, and will actively participate in the monthly accounting close and financial control activities.

You will report to the Accounting Lead and will work closely with our Controllership, FP&A, Treasury/FinOps and Capital Markets teams and interact with multiple stakeholders in different countries.

What you’ll work on

  • Perform the monthly consolidation process for the group’s entities, including intercompany eliminations, FX translation (IAS 21) and consolidation adjustments under IFRS 10.
  • Prepare the monthly reporting package (BS, P&L, cash flow and flux analysis) for leadership, the Board and investors.
  • Prepare the entities’ individual and consolidated annual financial statements under IFRS, including notes and disclosures, in line with group accounting policies.
  • Support the monthly accounting close across the group’s entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to closing deadlines.
  • Prepare accruals, provisions and accounting estimates (e.g., bonuses and other accrued expenses), and support expected credit loss (ECL) calculations.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and support resolution of discrepancies across multiple entities.
  • Analyze the entities’ trial balances and key account fluctuations, ensuring balances are accurate, properly classified and ready for consolidation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency and quality of accounting operations.
  • Support external and internal audits by preparing documentation, schedules, and responding to audit requests.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, internal controls, and finance procedures.
  • Work closely with external service providers (BPOs and advisors) to ensure accurate and timely accounting deliverables.

Who you are

  • 4+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in consolidation and/or group reporting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and active CRC registration.
  • Advanced English (written and spoken); Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, with hands-on experience in group consolidation (IFRS 10, IAS 21), including intercompany eliminations and multi-entity, multi-currency structures.
  • Experience preparing individual and consolidated financial statements, disclosures, and management/Board reporting packages.
  • Experience with ERP consolidation modules (e.g., NetSuite) or consolidation tools is a plus.
  • Experience with month-end close processes, provisions and accounting estimates, and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems; SQL or BI tools are a plus.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or multinational, multi-jurisdiction environments is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience at a Big Four accounting firm is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus

  • A growth mindset and the ambition to develop quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for solving problems and interest in navigating high complexity.
  • A proactive approach to improving processes, reducing manual work, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Experience working with finance data workflows and automation initiatives within accounting and reporting processes.
