About the Role
The Senior Member Marketing Manager leads member marketing strategy, innovation, and execution across client programs. This role serves as a strategic advisor to both clients and internal teams, translating market trends, client needs, member behavior, and business priorities into effective engagement strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer and strong operator who can seamlessly move between client engagement, market analysis, campaign planning, and execution oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Insights & Innovation
- Develop and evolve member marketing strategies that align with client objectives, market expectations, and member needs
- Monitor market trends, client feedback, member engagement patterns, and emerging communication practices across healthcare, benefits, and B2B2C marketing
- Translate market intelligence and client insights into actionable recommendations, campaign strategies, messaging approaches, and channel plans
- Identify opportunities to enhance member marketing through personalization, journey-based communications, and innovative campaign concepts
- Create strategic points of view, playbooks, presentations, and guidance materials for clients and internal teams
Client-Facing Advisory & Partnership
- Serve as a strategic member marketing advisor to clients and client-facing teams
- Partner directly with clients to understand business goals, member populations, communication challenges, and success metrics
- Lead client discussions related to marketing strategy, campaign planning, best practices, and program optimization
- Translate client needs into effective marketing strategies, project briefs, and execution plans
- Balance consultative partnership with operational execution by setting realistic expectations and timelines
Product Definition & Operationalization
- Collaborate with Product, Client Success, Implementation, Marketing, Legal, and Operations teams to define and scale member marketing strategies
- Maintain a strong understanding of product capabilities, roadmap priorities, member experience considerations, and market expectations
- Define communication strategies for new products, features, and program enhancements across multiple channels
- Lead the development of messaging frameworks, communication journeys, campaign templates, and enablement materials
- Standardize tools, resources, and processes where appropriate while allowing flexibility for client-specific needs
What You'll Bring
Experience & Industry Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, member marketing, customer engagement, lifecycle marketing, or account-based marketing
- Demonstrated success developing and executing B2B2C marketing or communication programs
- Proven experience working directly with clients, business partners, or external stakeholders in a consultative role
- Experience within healthcare, employee benefits, health plans, digital health, navigation services, or care advocacy strongly preferred
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strong ability to translate business goals and audience insights into effective marketing strategies and execution plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create presentations and client-ready materials
- Strong project management capabilities, including managing timelines, priorities, stakeholders, and workflow processes
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams, including Product, Legal, Operations, and Client Success
- Ability to analyze campaign performance, synthesize feedback, and recommend actionable improvements
- High level of organization, ownership, sound judgment, accountability, and attention to detail
Technical & Tools Proficiency
- Experience using marketing, CRM, project management, reporting, and workflow management tools
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using collaboration and video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom
