Senior Full Stack Engineer - Android + Go/Java

We are looking for experienced Full Stack Engineers with Android and backend expertise in Go or Java to work on large-scale systems. The role will be part of the Subscriptions and Payments engineering team and will contribute to building and enhancing Fire TV In-App Purchase (IAP) capabilities, subscription journeys, payment integrations and entitlement workflows.

You will work across Android/Fire TV applications and backend services , building highly scalable and reliable systems capable of supporting millions of users and significant traffic spikes during major live events. Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain Android / Fire TV applications and supporting backend services.

Build Android features using Kotlin/Java with a focus on performance, reliability and user experience. Develop scalable backend services using Go or Java . Build and integrate APIs supporting subscriptions, payments and entitlement workflows.

Implement Fire TV In-App Purchase (IAP) flows including purchases, renewals, cancellations and entitlement synchronization. Integrate applications with app-store APIs, payment platforms and internal backend services. Build resilient workflows capable of handling failures, retries and transaction reconciliation.

Design systems to support high concurrency and large traffic spikes , particularly during live sports and major content releases. Optimize application startup, API latency, network usage and overall performance. Work on authentication, device management and user-session flows where required.

Implement monitoring, logging and observability across mobile/TV and backend systems. Write maintainable, well-tested production code. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and technical design reviews.

Collaborate with Android, backend, platform, payments and product teams to deliver features end-to-end. Strong Android development experience using Kotlin and/or Java . Good understanding of Android application architecture , lifecycle and performance optimization.

Experience developing applications for Android TV or Fire TV is highly desirable. Strong backend development experience using Go or Java . Experience with Spring Boot for Java backend development or common Go web/service frameworks.

Strong experience designing and consuming REST APIs . Good understanding of microservices and distributed systems . Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL.

Experience with NoSQL databases is desirable. Experience with caching technologies such as Redis . Exposure to Kafka or similar messaging/event-streaming technologies .

Understanding of asynchronous processing, concurrency and distributed transactions. Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms . Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills. Experience 4-7 years of software engineering experience. Strong hands-on Android development experience.

Hands-on experience with backend development using Go or Java . Ability to independently own and deliver features across application and backend layers. Experience working on scalable production applications.
