OVERVIEW

Opendorse is the leader in athlete influencer marketing and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, connecting brands and athletes to build meaningful partnerships at scale. To continue growing and expanding our impact, we're looking for a talented, detail-oriented designer for a part-time, temporary role to help tell our story visually — and the story of the athletes we serve.

As Canva Designer , you'll own the visual execution and brand integrity of Opendorse's presentations, marketing materials, and creative assets across two brand systems: our core Opendorse brand and Opendorse One™ (OD1). You'll build original decks and creative work and serve as the team's design quality checkpoint — reviewing work built by non-designer teammates against brand standards while exercising the creative judgment that no AI-checklist can replace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design & Creative Execution

  • Design presentations, one-pagers, social assets, and other marketing materials in Canva for both the Opendorse and Opendorse One™ brands
  • Translate marketing, sales, and leadership requests into polished, on-brand creatives
  • Build and maintain reusable Canva templates so teammates can self-serve for routine needs
  • Support content and campaign work with visual assets as needed

Brand Stewardship & Quality Assurance

  • Own and maintain the Opendorse and Opendorse One brand styles including color palettes, typography, logo usage, and spacing standards.
  • Serve as the final review for presentations and materials built by non-designer team members, checking brand consistency (color, type, logo placement, margins, spacing) while making the creative judgment calls that fall outside any fixed rule
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Opendorse's internal Claude-built design-QA tooling and help evolve it as brand standards change

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating presentation/deck design, and brand systems work
  • Mastery of Canva required; comfortable using tools such as BG Remover and Image Editing Tools, Charts, Tables, Graphics and Frames.
  • Sharp eye for typography, color, spacing, and layout consistency, with the judgment to know when a rule should flex for the sake of the design
  • Experience building and maintaining brand guidelines, templates, or brand kits
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and requests at once
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Interest or experience using AI-assisted tools to support design workflows and quality checks a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) a plus
