Company Description
We are seeking a hands-on Product Manager to support internal business applications and workflows across the contractor lifecycle, including sourcing, onboarding, workforce management, and offboarding. You will serve as the primary link between business stakeholders and the software development team, translating business needs into actionable development work, owning the Jira backlog, and coordinating delivery through testing and release.
You will partner closely with a business owner who sets strategic direction and priorities, and a technical lead who owns detailed technical discovery, solution design, and development execution. Your focus will be on moving business needs smoothly from idea to delivered capability while improving the experience for hiring managers, suppliers, and internal operations teams.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of coordination between business stakeholders and the development team, coordinating day-to-day activities across both groups. Translate business needs into clear Jira user stories with functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
Gather sufficient business context to define requested functionality, partnering with the technical lead on detailed discovery and technical requirements. Own the organization and maintenance of the development backlog in Jira, spanning initiatives, epics, user stories, enhancements, and defects.
Lead backlog refinement with the development team, clarify business questions, and ensure work is ready for technical review and estimation. Track requirements, dependencies, and changes throughout the development lifecycle. Track development progress, upcoming deliverables, dependencies, and blockers, helping work move efficiently from requirements through release.
Maintain delivery timelines in partnership with the technical lead, accounting for development, testing, and release activities. Facilitate timely resolution of business questions and proactively communicate progress, risks, delays, and changes in requirements or scope. Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the appropriate business users and stakeholders.
Organize testing schedules, collect feedback, and document defects or required changes in Jira. Coordinate issue resolution, retesting, and release activities with the development team.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role supporting software development. Strong experience writing Jira user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria. Experience managing development backlogs and coordinating work with software development teams.
Working knowledge of Agile software development practices, including backlog refinement, iterative delivery, and release planning. Experience coordinating user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and release activities. Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Skills Experience supporting internal business applications, operational tools, or workflow management systems. Experience working with technology environments that involve multiple systems, integrations, and data flows. Familiarity with business process automation and AI-enabled workflows.
Experience supporting technology development for service delivery or operational teams. Experience coordinating development work across small or distributed teams. Enterprise experience strongly preferred.

Allocation: 100%, approximately 40 hours per week. Working Hours: Availability to work the required CST hours throughout the contract. The exact daily schedule will be confirmed with the team. Engagement: Full-time contract.
