RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the analysis and processing of data related to catastrophic risks (natural and/or man-made).

  • Collaborate with the team to integrate new features and optimize existing processes.
  • Document work clearly to ensure traceability and knowledge transfer.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Prior experience, including academic or project-based, with risk data/models.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python (data handling, scripting, analysis libraries).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to validate and interpret complex datasets, identify inconsistencies and assess results critically.
  • Familiarity with Git and basic version control workflows (branching, commits, pull requests).
  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to understanding existing systems and proposing improvements.
  • Familiarity with Python libraries for data analysis (e.g. pandas, numpy) or geospatial analysis (e.g. geopandas).
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating closely with the team.
  • Advanced level of English.

NICE TO HAVE

  • General knowledge of the catastrophe risk domain.
  • Prior experience, including academic or project-based, with geospatial data.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or databases.
  • Interest in insurance/reinsurance topics.
