Hypori is looking for a hands-on, collaborative Senior Engineer – Desktop Application to join our Engineering team. You will build the Hypori app for Windows and support our iOS and Android apps as needed across our full agile development process, including design, coding, troubleshooting, and testing of bug fixes and new features, and deliver code through an evolving CI/CD pipeline to on-prem and public cloud deployments.

You will work on a small team solving large problems that take serious initiative, critical thinking, eager collaboration, informed risk-taking, and clear communication. The Hypori Client app is how users securely reach enterprise apps and data from their own devices, including more than 95,000 Department of War users, so the features you ship are used at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new functionality for the Hypori Client app on Windows
• Reconcile product requirements with a proven knowledge of Windows internals
• Enhance the Hypori Client app to take advantage of similar capabilities across the Windows ecosystem
• Support the Hypori iOS and Android apps as needed
• Create unit tests for new and existing functionality
• Protect intellectual property, user data, and system integrity by following Hypori’s secure software development policies and best practices for secure design, implementation, and deployment across development, build, test, and production environments
• Maintain and communicate status in Jira and in daily standups

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing desktop applications
• Proven fluency in C#, C, and C++
• Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux
• Strong understanding of Git version control
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future. Hypori is not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role

Preferred Attributes

• 1+ year developing mobile app software on Android and iOS
• Experience with Objective-C, Swift, or Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• Understanding of Android and iOS, and the ability to reconcile product requirements across platforms
• Knowledge of Google Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
• Experience with Windows App Store development and packaging
• Experience updating automated build systems such as Jenkins
• Knowledge of software security

About Us

Compensation: $180,000 – $195,000 base salary (commensurate with experience), plus a 10 percent annual performance bonus.
