About FreedUp FreedUp places talented Executive Assistants with founders and executives at growing US companies. We free leaders up by saving them time and effort so they can focus on the work only they can do. For our EAs, we aim to be one of the best US companies for LATAM and Filipino talent, with a supportive environment and real room to grow.
About the role We're looking for an Executive Assistant with a marketing or communications background to support a US-based founder who works in PR. You'll be part EA, part marketing partner. You'll help manage the founder's LinkedIn presence and outreach, support media and PR efforts, keep client communication running smoothly, and own their calendar and weekly planning.
This role suits someone who enjoys writing, is organized, speaks the language of PR and marketing, and wants to grow into a true "second brain" for a busy executive. This is a support and outreach role, not a content-creation or design role. You won't be producing videos or graphics; you'll be writing, organizing, following up, and keeping the founder's priorities on track.
Compensation
800 to 1,600 USD per month (Depends on Experience) Location: Remote LATAM What you'll do Manage LinkedIn content and outreach: learn the founder's voice, draft and schedule posts, repurpose existing content, comment on relevant posts, and handle LinkedIn messages and prospect follow-ups.
Support LinkedIn ads: help set up and monitor simple LinkedIn ad campaigns and report on results. Support media outreach: help draft pitches and press materials, track outreach, and follow up with media contacts. Own calendar and task management: maintain the founder's weekly planning system, time-block their schedule, and keep priorities on track.
Manage client communication: help handle client emails and interactions, and prepare client reports and status updates. Keep the CRM up to date: log leads, contacts and pipeline progress in HubSpot. Help recruit and manage freelance contractors: post roles, screen applicants, schedule interviews and keep track of contractor work.
Manage vendors and tools: keep track of the software and vendors the business relies on. Triage the inbox, prepare meeting briefs and keep notes and follow-ups organized. Our hiring process Apply online Record a short Loom video introducing yourself Interview with our recruiting team Complete a work evaluation (including a short LinkedIn writing task) Final interview with the client Must-haves A background in marketing, communications, PR or advertising, through a degree or work experience.
A marketing degree is a strong plus. At least 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Virtual Assistant or in a similar support role. Excellent written and spoken English (C1 or above).
Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt to someone else's voice and tone. Experience managing calendars, inboxes and competing priorities. Professional, client-facing communication skills.
Availability to work during the founder's US business hours. Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet home office setup. Nice-to-haves Experience managing LinkedIn or other social media for a founder or brand.
Experience running or supporting LinkedIn ad campaigns. Media relations or PR experience, such as pitching journalists or writing press releases. Experience working at or with a PR or marketing agency.
Experience recruiting or coordinating freelancers. Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs), Microsoft Outlook and Teams, Calendly, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Canva, LinkedIn's post scheduler and a CRM such as HubSpot.
