POSITION SUMMARY: Focus Interpreting is seeking a dedicated Hebrew Interpreter to join our interpretation team. The interpreter will provide accurate and professional interpretation services between Hebrew and English in-person or through Video Remote Interpreting (VRI). RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide professional Hebrew-English interpretation services onsite and remotely via VRI. Facilitate clear and effective communication in a variety of settings Accurately interpret spoken communication from Hebrew into English and from English into Hebrew in real time. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and interpretation standards. Demonstrate professionalism, impartiality, cultural sensitivity, accuracy, and attention to detail during all interpretation sessions. Stay informed about relevant terminology and developments in the Hebrew language to ensure high-quality interpretation. REQUIREMENTS: Fluency in Hebrew and English. Must be based in the United States, near Chatsworth preferred Certification, training, or qualifications in interpretation preferred but not required Prior experience with VRI interpretation preferred Strong communication and listening skills Ability to interpret accurately and efficiently in real time Understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to provide culturally sensitive interpretation Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate equipment for VRI services.
