Commander upgrade

We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the First Officer to Commander Upgrade Program on both the B737-800SF and B747-400F/ERF fleets. Please find the further details in the document attached in the Command Upgrade email.

Applications are open to First Officers for command on their current fleet type. All applications must include a motivation letter and be received by EOBD 16.11.2026.

Applicants meeting the requirements and passing the initial paper screening will be invited to the command selection process, including psychometric testing with an emphasis on leadership. Pilots holding previous command experience with CCA are exempt from psychometric test.

Candidates who successfully pass all assessments will be placed in the Command Pool and promoted based on company needs and training capacity.

Unsuccessful candidates may reapply after completing two LPC/OPCs. Detailed feedback will be provided to guide further development.

Requirements

• Valid EASA ATPL(A) and Class 1 medical certificate
• All check items graded 3 or higher on your last OPC/LPC
• Good knowledge of Compass Cargo Airlines documents, manuals and supplements
• Excellent CRM, people and conflict resolution skills
• No pending or history of disciplinary actions while employed with Compass Cargo Airlines
• Selected applicants will attend a Command upgrade evaluation and selection process
• Successful candidates will be placed in the Command Pool and will be required to pass a Command Course in accordance with ORO.FC.205.
