Independent Contractor - Website Implementation Specialist

We are looking for someone who is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and passionate about building and optimizing websites that create a great user experience. We are seeking a Website Implementation Specialist to join our team and help build, update, and optimize websites for clients across a variety of industries.

In this role, you will implement website content and technical updates while maintaining the site's design, functionality, and SEO best practices. The ideal candidate has experience working with website builders such as Wix/Wix Studio, as well as a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, website structure, and basic SEO. They are comfortable learning new platforms and tools, paying close attention to detail, and making website updates that are both visually polished and technically sound.

Compensation

$USD 7.00/hour. Payments are made monthly. Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) between the hours of 8am and 5pm Mountain Standard Time. Language

Fluency in English is essential for this position. All contractors will be required to complete a language assessment prior to being hired. This assessment will measure your proficiency in English, including your ability to read, write, speak, and listen. Equipment

Requirements

As a contract worker, you will be required to provide your own equipment, including: A laptop or computer. A secure and reliable internet connection. The following applications, installed on your laptop or computer: Zoom, Gmail, Google Chrome, and Talkdesk.

Tasks May Include: Editing H1 tags, Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, and Alt Image Tags to support SEO best practices. Adding, editing, or replacing website content while maintaining the existing CSS styling, design, and page layout. Optimizing images for website performance, quality, and usability.

Setting up and integrating Google Analytics with client websites. Creating and implementing sitemap.xml and robots.txt files and uploading them to the website’s server. Making website updates and content changes using platforms such as Wix/Wix Studio and other website builders.

Requirements

Hands-on experience making website updates and implementing technical changes. Understanding of SEO fundamentals, including redirects, page structure, metadata, and image optimization. Experience working with Wix/Wix Studio or other Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.

Intermediate understanding of HTML and CSS, with the ability to make website updates while maintaining existing styling and layout. Comfortable navigating website directories and working with tools such as cPanel or FTP clients. Ability to troubleshoot basic website issues and follow technical instructions with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to stay focused, work efficiently, and complete tasks independently. Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines. You’ll really stand out if… You have hands-on experience building, editing, or maintaining Wix/Wix Studio websites.

You have experience implementing 301 redirects through server configuration files such as .htaccess or web.config. You have experience optimizing website performance, including browser caching, file compression, and image optimization. You have experience working with website servers, hosting platforms, or FTP.

You have a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript. You are comfortable learning new tools, platforms, and technologies. Communication & Work Style...
