The full posting

Location: Remote from EMEA, Philippines Reporting to Tech Lead

The Purpose

  • Analyse product requirements, design specs, and user stories to create thorough test cases and scenarios.

  • Build and maintain the Playwright E2E suite in TypeScript, working alongside the frontend team's Vitest unit testing standards.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI as quality gates on GitHub Actions, so every pull request runs against a reliable, fast suite.

  • Test the component library and design system implementation for visual consistency, interaction states, and accessibility.

  • Track performance against agreed Core Web Vitals targets (LCP, INP, CLS) and flag regressions before they reach production.

  • Verify SEO fundamentals across pages, including metadata, structured data, canonical tags, and sitemap output.

  • Check accessibility, responsive behaviour, and cross-browser consistency across desktop and mobile.

  • Test pages across different rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR) to catch hydration issues, stale content, and caching problems.

  • Mock and stub API responses in Playwright to test loading, error, and edge-case states.

  • Explore the product proactively for edge cases, visual issues, and behaviour the specs did not anticipate.

  • Log, track, and manage defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, recordings, and browser console or network logs.

What Makes You a Fit

  • 5+ years of manual and automation testing experience, with a strong focus on web frontends.

  • Solid experience writing automated E2E tests in TypeScript with Playwright, including page objects, fixtures, and parallel runs.

  • Experience running tests in CI with GitHub Actions, including test reporting and handling flaky tests.

  • Hands-on experience testing web performance, with a working understanding of Core Web Vitals and tools such as Lighthouse or WebPageTest.

  • Practical accessibility testing experience against WCAG, using tools such as axe alongside manual checks.

  • Good understanding of how modern frontends work: the DOM, browser dev tools, network requests, rendering, and client-side state.

  • Experience with test management in TestRail or Zephyr.

  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

  • Good conversational English.

  • A willingness to take on manual testing when required, even if automation is the main focus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Svelte or SvelteKit, or the ability to read Svelte component code.

  • Experience with Vitest or Testing Library for component-level tests.

  • Visual regression testing with Playwright screenshot comparisons or similar tools.

  • Technical SEO testing experience.

  • Experience working in an AI-assisted or agentic development workflow.

  • Exposure to AWS environments.

  • iGaming experience.
