Product Specialist

In this role, you will serve as a scientific product expert, helping customers understand how Avam’s offerings can support their work and guiding them toward the right solutions for their needs. You will play an important part in connecting technical product knowledge with commercial activity, working closely with customers, distributors, and internal sales partners to support adoption, training, and product success in the market.

Responsibilities

• Present scientific products and explain their applications to prospective customers.
• Assess customer needs and recommend suitable biology and laboratory product solutions.
• Provide technical product training and demonstrations to customers and distributors.
• Support sales teams with scientific expertise, proposals, and customer follow-up.
• Gather market feedback and collaborate on product launches and improvements.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in a relevant scientific field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing scientific role.
• Experience in microbiology, molecular biology, or an equivalent scientific field.
• Hands-on experience with microbiology workflows, molecular biology techniques, PCR-related products, culture media, reagents, or general laboratory instrumentation.
• Fluency in English.
• Availability during Eastern and Mountain Time business hours.
• A home-office setup with reliable high-speed internet suitable for remote work and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with biotechnology research products or laboratory consumables.
• Experience presenting or explaining laboratory products and running demonstrations or training.
• Experience working alongside sales teams or distributors.
• Familiarity with distributor-led scientific sales.
