The full posting
AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.
AlphaGov is engaging an Impact Fee & Nexus Study Consultant for current local-government work. You will lead development impact fee and linkage/nexus studies that establish legally defensible fee schedules, including studies under the Georgia Development Impact Fee Act and a housing nexus and financial study for a large city.
We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.
What you'll do
-
Build growth projections, level-of-service standards, and capital improvement inventories by fee category
-
Prepare nexus analyses establishing proportionate share and maximum justified fees
-
Develop fee schedules, credits, exemptions, and financial feasibility tests
-
Draft Capital Improvements Elements / fee reports and ordinance-ready recommendations
-
Present findings to councils, advisory committees, and development stakeholders
-
Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming
