Our focus is to expand our technology lead, acquire and integrate less efficient competitors, and tap into new segments through an integrated inbound marketing and sales approach.

Job Overview:

ABC Legal is looking for a full-time, remote Mobile Engineer to build new systems on both Android and iOS as part of a small, hands-on development team. We're looking for someone who is excited by mobile but doesn't stop there: a developer who enjoys working across platforms and across the broader stack. If you're self-motivated, enjoy difficult, far-reaching problems, and want to use a lot of skills rather than stay in one lane, you'll have the opportunity to take on as much as you want.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain new systems on native Android and iOS, with a focus on cross-platform consistency in design and implementation.
  • Look beyond mobile: contribute across the broader code base and stack, including web services and databases.
  • Take full ownership of your work through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Follow established team patterns and conventions while helping shape how we move forward.
  • Collaborate closely with the development teams, staying responsive and engaged in day-to-day communication.
  • Participate in regular team check-ins (once or twice a week) to share progress and raise blockers.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to work faster, solve problems, and improve the quality of your code.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Hands-on experience developing on native mobile platforms, Google Android and Apple iOS.
  • A genuine interest in both platforms; you aren't married to Android or iOS.
  • Willingness to follow established patterns and take input from teammates.
  • Strong attention to detail, with knowledge of design patterns and coding and testing best practices.
  • Experience with RESTful web APIs and applications.
  • Proficiency in languages such as Kotlin, Java, and Swift (Objective-C a plus), and with Android Studio and Xcode.
  • Experience with Git and with agile software development.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong delivery focus and the ability to work well in a small team.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Full-stack experience, including web services and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
  • Interest in digging into the service side of the stack.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and data visualization.
  • Deeper knowledge of the Android and iOS ecosystems from end-user, development, and deployment perspectives.

Benefits

  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Paid time off
  • 7 Paid company holidays
  • 4 Floating holidays per-year
  • Life Insurance and AD&D Insurance
  • Long Term Disability
  • Health Care Reimbursement Flexible Spending Account
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
  • Pet Insurance

Salary Range: The compensation range for this role is $130,000–$150,000 depending on experience.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, remote
