Best Remote Job Boards for Executive Assistants (2026)

Remote executive assistant jobs in 2026: 5 job boards and 4 placement firms compared, with our count of 137 live postings on 3 October 2026.

TL;DR: For remote executive assistant jobs, start with Himalayas and Working Nomads (free, with a hiring country or region on each listing), then add OnlineJobs.ph in the Philippines or FlexJobs (paid) in the US. Also apply to placement firms that hire where you live: Athena and Wing Assistant outside the US, Boldly and BELAY inside it. The market on employers' own careers pages is small: on 3 October 2026 our index held 137 live remote executive assistant postings and 131 administrative assistant postings.

What is different about this search

  • The market on careers pages is small. Executive Assistant is the 52nd profession by size in our index and Administrative Assistant the 53rd, so boards and placement firms matter more.
  • There are two kinds of source. A job board lists openings at many employers. A placement firm hires or contracts assistants and matches them with clients.
  • One job has many titles. Search executive, personal, virtual and administrative assistant. Chief of staff roles also sit under Operations: see our job boards for operations roles.

Board by board

We opened each site in October 2026 and report what its own pages say. We Work Remotely is not in the table: it has no administrative category, and the few assistant roles we found sat in All Other Remote Jobs.

Himalayas

Himalayas listed more than 150 remote executive assistant jobs when we checked. Each carries a country label, such as "Philippines only", "United States only" or "South Africa only". The board is free; the paid Plus tier adds AI resume tools.

Working Nomads

Working Nomads has an Administration category, with more than 70 jobs on its free board when we checked. Each listing shows a country or region, the hours and a level.

FlexJobs

FlexJobs has pages for executive, administrative, personal and virtual assistant jobs and says it screens every job. Without a subscription you see a listing's pay, schedule and location, but not the company. Most listings we saw were in the US.

OnlineJobs.ph

OnlineJobs.ph is a marketplace where employers abroad hire workers in the Philippines. Its FAQ for job seekers says only Philippine nationals may use the site as workers. It also says employers pay workers themselves, not through the site, and that it takes no percentage of your pay, so agree the payment method in writing.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn has the volume. When we checked, a signed-out search for "remote executive assistant" with the location set to Worldwide showed more than 20,000 results, many tied to one city, such as Orlando, London or Cebu.

Athena

Athena recruits executive assistants who work with its clients. Its careers page listed one Executive Assistant role for five cities: Quezon City and Cavite (Philippines), Medellín (Colombia), Nairobi (Kenya) and Guatemala City. Read the posting for your city for the hours and the contract.

Wing Assistant

Wing Assistant says its positions are remote and "can be served from anywhere in the world, except for some positions marked as US-only". Its job filters include India, Latin America, Pakistan and the Philippines. It does not say whether assistants are employees or contractors.

Boldly

Boldly hires assistants as W2 employees. Its FAQ says it hires in 49 US states and in no other country, asks for at least 7 years in a role such as executive assistant, gives the pay as $27 to $30 an hour, and says applicants never pay a fee.

BELAY

BELAY offers remote 1099 contractor roles, including Executive Assistant Contractor. It takes applications from residents of all US states except California, Colorado, Montana, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, and says most roles need prior professional experience.

What our index shows for executive assistants

These figures come from our index of live remote postings that employers published themselves on their own careers pages or hiring systems: 49,544 on 3 October 2026. Copies on job boards are not counted. "All professions" is the 32,631 postings sorted by profession (see how we check every job). The executive assistant label includes personal assistants and some chief of staff roles; administrative assistant includes office and virtual assistants.

Job boards carry much of this market. Counting job boards as well, our index held 279 executive assistant postings on 3 October 2026, and 142 (50.9%) were seen only through job boards. For administrative assistants it was 350 of 481 (72.8%), against 48.4% across all professions.

Nearly a third do not say where they hire. 32.1% of executive assistant postings state no hiring country or region, against 24.8% across all professions, and only 5.8% say they hire worldwide. Ask before you apply, and browse live remote executive assistant jobs.

On 3 October 2026, 88 executive assistant postings in our index stated an employment type: 80 full time, 5 part time, 3 contractor. Our guide to contractor and employee offers explains what changes.

Where these roles can hire

On 3 October 2026, 32.1% of executive assistant postings listed only the United States. That is below each of the other five roles in this series (32.3% to 41.8%) and close to the 31.1% across all professions. Administrative assistant was at 22.1%. Postings under both labels are more often open to these countries:

Say they can hire inExecutive AssistantAdministrative AssistantAll professions
Philippines8.0% (11)15.3% (20)5.9%
South Africa11.7% (16)13.0% (17)6.3%
Brazil14.6% (20)18.3% (24)7.5%
Mexico15.3% (21)19.8% (26)8.4%

A posting counts when it says it hires worldwide or its list includes the country; the counts are small. Our pages for the Philippines and South Africa show such postings across all roles.

Pay: often an hourly or monthly figure

On 3 October 2026, 67 of the 137 executive assistant postings (48.9%) stated pay, against 42.4% across all professions. Only 34 (24.8%) stated a yearly salary; the other 33 gave a monthly or hourly figure. Among administrative assistants, 55 stated pay (42.0%) and 16 a yearly salary (12.2%). Convert offers to one unit before you compare, and see our executive assistant salary page.

Fake assistant jobs: four hard stops

A real employer never asks you to pay to apply, for training or for equipment. The US Federal Trade Commission's job scams guidance has a section on nanny, caregiver and virtual personal assistant job scams. Walk away if:

  • You are asked to pay, which the FTC says honest employers never do.
  • You are sent a check to buy equipment or pass on. The FTC says it will bounce and the bank will want the money back.
  • The interview is only by chat or text.
  • You are asked for bank details before a written offer.

BELAY's careers page warns of fake postings in its name. See our guide to remote work red flags.

Level: executive assistant is not an entry role

On 3 October 2026, 3 of the 137 executive assistant postings (2.2%) were junior or internships; 36.5% were mid-level and 40.1% senior or above. Among administrative assistants, 38 of 131 (29.0%) were junior or internships. Early in your career, search administrative, office and virtual assistant titles first, and see our job boards for entry-level remote work.

Where RemoteHunt fits

RemoteHunt is not a board you post on. It reads live remote postings from employers' own careers pages and job boards, checks where each one says it can hire, and scores the ones that can hire you from 0 to 100 against your resume, with a written reason. If you have no resume, it builds one with you. It is free to start and you never pay to apply. The 90-day pass ($29 once, no renewal, 14-day refund) opens the company and apply link on every match.

FAQ

What are the best job boards for remote executive assistant jobs?

Himalayas and Working Nomads are free and show a hiring country or region on each listing. OnlineJobs.ph serves the Philippines, FlexJobs is paid and mostly US, and LinkedIn has the volume. Placement firms are a second route: Athena and Wing Assistant outside the US, Boldly and BELAY inside it.

How many remote executive assistant jobs are there?

On 3 October 2026 our index held 137 live remote executive assistant postings and 131 administrative assistant postings on employers' own careers pages. Counting job boards as well, it held 279 and 481.

Can I get a remote executive assistant job from outside the US?

Yes, but read the location line. On 3 October 2026, 32.1% of the executive assistant postings in our index listed only the United States, 5.8% said they hire worldwide and 32.1% did not say. 8.0% said they can hire in the Philippines.
