About the Role

Want to join a company set for explosive growth in the red-hot cloud industry? Would you like to join our journey of never becoming yet another cloud provider? UpCloud is looking for a Product Manager to join our global team in our Helsinki office or remotely in Europe. In your role as a product manager for our Partnerships team, you will be in a key role in shaping how we forge our partnerships- & ecosystem-network while building a solid platform for our partners to integrate into. You will also be a key player ensuring a smooth onboarding process for our partners and crafting the commercial rationale determining in which direction we are heading with our Partnerships and accompanying roadmap. This involves conducting thorough product and market research to understand our customers' needs, pain points, and preferences to craft the best possible ecosystem of partnerships towards established and emerging market needs.

Your Challenges

  • Take full ownership of our Partnerships roadmap and lead the team with a structured backlog and clear priorities
  • Analyse market trends, business environment, competitor activities, and our customer data to develop and implement strategies, plans, and scalable processes for building UpCloud’s ecosystem of partnerships
  • Collaborate closely with other product managers to ensure alignment across the organisation and drive the partnerships roadmap
  • Identify customer needs, capabilities needed, and partnership opportunities
  • Define and implement plans to nurture and grow relationships with our existing partners, and build new ones
  • Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, empowerment, and accountability within the team

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working in a product manager or product owner role, preferably in a start-up or growth company or similar environment
  • Previous experience in deep collaboration with sales and marketing
  • Hands-on experience leading the work of software engineering teams and a practical understanding of software development
  • Understanding what it means to build and foster partnerships, preferably within the tech industry.
  • Track record of identifying new business opportunities and translating market trends into a strategic commercial vision
  • Good understanding of technical aspects related to cloud platforms and their partnerships space, e.g. MSPs, ISVs, and resellers
  • Good leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer interaction skills
