Traackr is a global SaaS technology company providing a data-driven influencer marketing platform that marketers use to optimize investments, streamline campaigns, and scale programs. Our customers range from some of the world’s largest companies in the beauty and personal care space to digitally native indie brands, which have all made influencer management and engagement a critical practice of their marketing and advertising programs. We are a remote-first company, and for the folks that like to meet in person, we have offices in San Francisco, New York, Boston, Paris, and London. We operate on a culture of mutual respect, with core value pillars including:
Trust . We earn the trust of our team, customers, creators, and partners through transparency, predictability, and integrity.
Diversity . Bringing diverse perspectives to the table results in stronger outcomes. All are welcome.
Value. Through our words and actions, we strive to create tangible value for our customers and peers. We only succeed when our community succeeds.
Ownership . We lead with action. We take pride in solving the hardest challenges and feel accountable for our commitments.
Mutual success . We share goals with each other and with our clients. Alignment, collaboration, and empathy are the cornerstones of our success.
This position is 100% remote , with the understanding that occasional in-person attendance may be required for trainings, meetings, and team gatherings, as determined by your manager.
As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with our engineering, product, and design teams to build the AI-powered future of our product and amazing experiences for our customers. To excel, you will need strong full-stack development and rapid prototyping skills and good product and UX judgment. You'll be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, including the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of new features. You'll write clean, well-tested code across the front end, back end, and data layer for our world-class customers. You enjoy being challenged, love learning, are detail-oriented, appreciate working with people from diverse backgrounds, and are passionate about what you do.
This team owns the "micro loop" that brands, agencies, and influencer marketing managers rely on to find the right creators, launch campaigns quickly, and measure what's working, spanning discovery, campaign activation, and performance reporting. You'll build AI-powered features that sit at the center of that workflow: agents and MCP-based tooling, LLM-driven insights and recommendations, dynamic chat-based UI (using ag-ui) built with Vue 3 and micro-frontends, the APIs and backend-for-frontend (BFF) services behind them, and the eval frameworks that keep those systems trustworthy. All of it is backed by Databricks pipelines that move large volumes of creator, content, and campaign data, and by close collaboration with product and other engineering teams. Our stack is primarily Python and TypeScript/Node.js, with Vue 3 on the front end and Databricks for data and evals. The work is judged by real outcomes: how fast a marketer can build a shortlist they trust, launch a campaign with minimal manual effort, and see clear, actionable results.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software across the stack: Vue 3 front ends and micro-frontends, backend services and BFFs in Python and Node.js, and the APIs our product and partners rely on.
- Own the entire feature development lifecycle, from initial design and coding to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Keep quality high through thorough testing (unit, integration, and Cypress end-to-end), debugging, troubleshooting, and constructive peer code reviews.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, data, and other engineering teams, proactively seeking feedback and assistance to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Participate in and contribute to team discussions on architecture and design decisions, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Build and integrate AI agents and agentic tooling (e.g. LLM-powered workflows, MCP servers and tool calling, agent orchestration) into user-facing features, applying the same testing and evaluation discipline as other production code.
- Create and maintain evals that measure the quality and reliability of agent and LLM outputs, using Databricks for evaluation pipelines and analysis.
- Design and build features that work at scale, including Databricks pipelines that move and transform large volumes of creator, content, and campaign data.
- Consider how your changes affect real users and downstream teams; run simple usability checks and adjust based on feedback.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for two weeks every two months to ensure system reliability and timely issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of experience building production web applications across the front end and back end, ideally for B2B users.
- Strong Python and TypeScript/Node.js skills, with production experience in both.
- Strong experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (Vue 3 preferred; React, Angular, or Svelte also welcome), and with design systems and component libraries, working closely with designers.
- Experience designing, building, and integrating APIs and backend services, with knowledge of REST or GraphQL and authentication flows like OAuth 2.0, including services that sit between a UI and downstream systems (e.g. BFFs).
- Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals (Postgres, MySQL), including data modeling and query performance.
- Understanding of data and features at scale: experience building features and pipelines that query, move, and process large datasets efficiently.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered features or AI agents (e.g. tool calling, MCP, agent orchestration), with the discipline to validate outcomes with tests and evals rather than trust outputs blindly. Comfortable using AI-assisted engineering tools day to day.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring or unblocking other engineers.
Nice to have:
- Experience with code instrumentation, performance testing, and observability tools (e.g. OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Exposure to building scalable, high-availability, and resilient systems.
- Experience with micro-frontend architecture or contributing to shared component libraries.
- Experience with rapid prototyping to test new ideas and features.
- Familiarity with designing and implementing microservices architecture, and understanding the trade-offs between monolithic and distributed architectures.
- Experience with Databricks, Spark, or similar platforms, including evaluation pipelines for LLM or agent systems.
- Practical knowledge of queues, messaging, and event driven systems.
- Experience working with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD systems
- Experience with Go, or interest in learning it.
- End-to-end testing experience with Cypress or similar tools.
- Familiarity with PHP codebases. We still maintain an older PHP/CakePHP system, though most new work is in Python, Node.js, and Vue 3.
