AI Solution Advisor

A senior post-sales security and transformation leader who advises enterprise CISOs and SOC leaders, sets strategic direction and measurable outcomes, shapes architecture and adoption plans, and works with the POD (AISE, SecEng, Elite, Sales) to turn those plans into practical customer value. Engaged selectively and situationally across strategic accounts and all client journey types, not as the permanent account owner.

Candidate Profile

  • A former security executive who can make the shift from being the CISO to advising the CISO. Credible in front of a Fortune 500 CISO and equally credible with SOC practitioners.

  • Strategic but hands-on. Sets direction, then moves to concrete next actions. Comfortable in technical discovery, platform walkthroughs, workflow design, and live-case discussion, without becoming the day-to-day project manager.

  • Consultative rather than transactional. Outcome-oriented, evidence-driven, a strong listener and diagnostician who challenges assumptions constructively and builds trust with executives and practitioners alike.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage operating models. The advisor builds reusable frameworks and transformation IP, and operates across all four client journey types (MDR/MSSP Displacement, Automated SOC, SOC Transformation, SIEM/SOAR Displacement), not a single motion.

What this role is not (screening guardrail): not a standard Sales Engineer, not a day-to-day AISE or CSM, not the project manager for every account, not a SecEng replacement, and not a pure executive strategist who stays above implementation reality.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-sales

  • Engage selectively on strategic or complex deals to move them to a technical and executive win.

  • Own solution scoping against the client's journey model. Set the client journey type in the Solutions Plan up front, and define the target operating model, maturity baseline, initial wedge use case, and roadmap, backward-planned from the customer's strategic date.

  • Diagnose novel or complex client environments. Identify architectural, operational, and organizational gaps and challenge customer assumptions.

  • Identify and document advisory insights and expansion opportunities (feeding the Advisor Value Chronicle): licensing optimization, tooling consolidation, and detection-engineering improvements that create immediate customer value.

  • Lead executive security conversations and SOC-transformation workshops. Translate technical pain into business outcomes and sharpen executive readouts.

Post-sales

  • Drive adoption, customer satisfaction, and ultimately referenceability across the accounts you advise.

  • Assure the client journey is executing soundly across the POD, and intervene where execution or outcomes are at risk.

  • Develop and refine the client journey models. Build reusable playbooks, frameworks, and transformation IP.

  • Mentor AISEs and raise the consultative bar across the post-sales team.

  • Advise across the company (Product, R&D, Services, Sales), translating customer complexity into product, workflow, roadmap, and enablement input. Route deep implementation to SecEng and R&D rather than owning it personally.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in cybersecurity, security operations, security architecture, or security consulting, including senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change management and drive adoption of new operating models and workflows across a customer's security organization and stakeholders.

  • Experience operating at the level of CISO, deputy CISO, SOC leader, security-operations executive, or senior security architect, with the credibility to engage CISOs, CIOs, and senior practitioners.

  • Strong command of SOC operating models and maturity, SIEM, SOAR, MDR, detection, investigation, response, and security automation.

  • Ability to assess complex enterprise environments and scope integrations, connectors, workflows, tuning, and customizations at the right level.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead consultative engagements with senior security stakeholders and translate business objectives into measurable outcomes, success criteria, and phased execution plans.

  • Exceptional executive presence and written and verbal communication. Able to simplify complex topics for executives while retaining practitioner credibility.

  • Willingness to work hands-on with customers, AISEs, SecEng, Product, Engineering, and Sales, and to build enough product fluency to demonstrate and explain the platform credibly.

Desired Experience

  • Prior role as a CISO, deputy CISO, or enterprise SOC leader. The strongest example profile carries 15+ years in cybersecurity including 6+ years leading a large enterprise SOC, with cybersecurity and information-systems education.

  • Track record designing or leading SOC transformation, operating-model change, or security modernization programs.

  • Experience facilitating executive workshops, roadmap reviews, QBRs, or board-level security discussions.

  • Exposure to MSSP or multi-tenant / service-provider delivery models (relevant to 7AI's ICP3 partner motion).

  • Familiarity with AI-driven or agentic security operations and modern federated SIEM approaches.

  • Experience creating reusable security strategies, operating models, playbooks, or transformation IP.

  • Comfortable operating transactionally across multiple strategic accounts without becoming the permanent account owner.
