We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain shared backend platforms, services, and products operating at significant scale. You will use AI-assisted coding tools and collaborate with engineering, data science, product, design, and business partners to deliver reliable, high-quality software. Enterprise experience is strongly preferred.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems. Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate. Participate in code and design reviews to uphold high engineering standards.
Own and support applications during business hours, ensuring system health and reliability. Use metrics, logging, and analytics to make data-informed decisions and improve system performance. Collaborate across engineering, product, data science, and design teams to deliver effective solutions. Contribute to cross-team initiatives and support other engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of related experience ; or an advanced degree with no prior experience. Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, or similar .
Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams. Curiosity and a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
