About the Role
We are currently looking for a hands-on senior instructor able to dictate lectures and assignments to students in ML for the Anyone AI part-time ML Developer training. The instructor will be responsible for facilitating live class sessions, contributing to prepare class materials, and providing feedback and guidance to students. You will use your expertise to design high-quality and effective learning experiences. Your experience and skills in the AI space, and ability to educate and communicate will all be critical for this role.
Responsibilities
Initially, you’ll review and adapt lectures and assignments on ML/AI in the assigned format, LMS, Jupyter Notebooks, or other tool of choice.
Contribute to the development and/or update course curriculum in consultation with the team.
Once the training starts, you’ll deliver live lectures or assignments at the time specified by Anyone AI. Total time commitment is 8 hours a week including other activities.
You’ll deliver lectures on ML/AI topics, and perform code review with the fellows.
You’ll respond to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner through Slack, Zoom or related tools. Mentors and other team members will also support this activity.
You’ll provide regular feedback on student performance and issues or special attention they may require through the 5 month training program.
You’ll update materials periodically, and regularly monitor course evaluations in order to make adjustments and improvements to the curriculum.
You’ll meet with the Program Coordinator and Mentors regularly to coordinate activities for the successful completion of the training program.
Skills & Experience
- Technical background in math, programming, and machine learning.
- Hands-on experience in AI/ML, solving real-world problems.
- Expert level proficiency in using Machine learning packages for Python (numpy, Pandas, scikit-learn, etc); experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc), deployment with Docker, and AWS or similar cloud environment, data science libraries (Pandas, Airflow, etc) and databases (SQL, etc).
- Interest in student engagement, motivation, and teaching.
- Excellent written and verbal communication English skills.
Nice to have
- Bachelor, Master, PhD or equivalent degree in computer science / computer engineering, or equivalent industry experience in areas like machine learning, data science or related. It is a nice position for PhD candidates who are also interested in teaching.
- Previous experience as an instructor or lecturer in the areas of AI, machine learning, data science, robotics or similar
- Experience designing/revising curriculum and measuring student performance is a plus.
