Job Title: Director, Navy

Location: Remote | HQ

Clearance Level: Top Secret, Must Have Clearance to Start

Travel requirements: Up to 25% to customer sites

Job Description: Agile Defense is seeking a Navy Delivery Director to provide senior leadership across integrated mission, information technology, cyber, engineering, and operational support programs serving U.S. Navy customers. This role oversees multiple mission portfolios with full P&L accountability, drives operational excellence and modernization, and leads re-compete, on-contract growth and net new mission expansion. The Delivery Director ensures strong program performance, customer satisfaction, mission readiness, and alignment with Navy and Department of War priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery and operational performance across assigned Navy mission portfolios, ensuring quality, schedule, staffing, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives are achieved.
  • Direct enterprise IT, cyber, engineering, mission support, and operational programs aligned to Navy and broader DoW mission requirements.
  • Manage multi-program portfolios with full P&L responsibility, including budget execution, forecasting, contract performance, staffing, subcontractor oversight, and resource allocation.
  • Drive modernization initiatives involving secure enterprise architecture, cloud adoption, cybersecurity operations, digital transformation, data capabilities, and mission systems integration.
  • Oversee programs supporting Navy operational readiness, fleet modernization, command-and-control environments, shore-based and afloat systems, and mission support functions.
  • Identify and resolve delivery challenges, manage risks and escalations, and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, security, and corporate requirements.
  • Drive on-contract growth by expanding scope, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering value-added capabilities within existing Navy programs.
  • Support net-new growth initiatives including capture strategies, solution development, transition planning, and opportunity advancement across Navy commands, program offices, and related DoW organizations.
  • Foster collaboration and information sharing across Navy stakeholders, defense agencies, industry partners, and joint mission environments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and mission focus.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Operations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience supporting Navy, Department of War, national security, enterprise IT, engineering, or mission delivery environments.
  • 10+ years of experience managing large programs, contracts, or portfolios with P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading program delivery, customer engagement, and operational performance in complex federal or defense environments.
  • Proven experience supporting on-contract growth and net-new business capture efforts.
  • Experience leading IT modernization, cyber operations, cloud transformation, engineering support, or mission systems initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, executive presence, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading large-scale modernization efforts or multi-program Navy or DoW portfolios.
  • Background supporting Navy commands, systems commands, program executive offices, fleet organizations, or shore-based operational environments.
  • Familiarity with Navy mission priorities, readiness requirements, acquisition environments, and operational support models.
