Are you a senior localization professional in Slovak with a flawless command of the technical and marketing domain? We are seeking an experienced Language Lead (English to Slovak) to champion linguistic quality, govern terminology assets, and lead a distributed team of freelance translators for our premier Technical Marketing localization pipelines.

Position Overview Language Pair: English to Slovak Domain: Technical Marketing Role: Language Lead Employment type: Freelance / Independent Contractor Partnership Location Restrictions: Remote. Responsibilities Define, implement, and maintain rigorous quality standards for all English to Slovak localization streams.

Audit deliverables and manage the linguistic feedback loop. Lead, mentor, and coordinate a remote team of freelance translators, editors, and LQA testers. Provide actionable linguistic feedback, onboarding training, and query resolution.

Partner closely with global Project Managers, Engineering teams, and client stakeholders to optimize localization workflows, mitigate risks, and troubleshoot complex technical or linguistic challenges. Monitor, analyze, and report on resource performance, linguistic quality metrics, and project delivery timelines.

Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field . 5+ years of hands-on experience in Marketing localization , with at least 2+ years acting in a Language Lead or LQA Specialist capacity.. Must be currently based in Slovakia with proven experience working in Slovak-language content.

Deep proficiency in advanced translation management systems and CAT tools (e.g., Trados Studio, Phrase, memoQ) alongside automated Quality Assurance tools (e.g., Xbench). Exceptional communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage concurrent pipelines and tight release schedules.
