A Filipino remote job search usually starts on a local board and ends there. That is reasonable — the domestic market is large — but it hides the part of the market where a US or European company is hiring across a whole region and has never typed the word "Philippines".

How many remote jobs can hire in the Philippines?

We measured the whole index on 20 September 2026. Every posting comes from an employer's own careers page rather than from an aggregator.

Four out of five eligible postings never say "Philippines". They say APAC, or Asia, or Worldwide — and a search for the country name silently drops them. The same holds across the region:

Of the ten countries we publish pages for, only India is named more often. It is still only one posting in five.

Which remote roles travel best from the Philippines

Two role families are unusually well served, and both follow from the country's existing export industry.

Customer support and success. English-language support is the largest remote export here by headcount: the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines reported the IT-BPM sector closing 2025 with roughly $40 billion in export revenue and about 1.9 million workers, and projected $42 billion and 1.97 million workers for 2026. A company that wants overnight coverage for US customers already knows where it buys that coverage — which is why support roles appear so often inside APAC postings. Sales development and inside sales. The same logic applies to outbound sales into US and APAC markets: the hours fit, English is a given, and the role is measurable from anywhere. Engineering, finance, design and operations roles are open too — the point is where the density is, and where a Filipino applicant is least likely to be the unusual one.

What to search for instead of the country name

Direct hire or through a middleman

This is the question that most affects what you earn, and it is rarely answered in the posting.

An employer of record is a local company that legally employs you for a business with no entity here, running payroll, contributions and compliance while you work for that business day to day. The night-shift question

Philippine Standard Time is UTC+8, which makes European and Australian hours comfortable and US hours hard.

A posting that says "must overlap US Eastern business hours" is describing a night shift, whatever the title says. Many people take one knowingly and are paid a differential; the mistake is discovering it in week two. Ask which hours are fixed and which are yours.

A search that works from the Philippines

1. Use local boards for local and BPO employment. When we checked in September 2026, Jobstreet — part of SEEK since 2014 — was the broadest board for corporate roles, with Kalibrr, founded in Manila in 2012, stronger on tech and startup listings, and Bossjob running skills-based matching.

5. Lead with the thing global employers are shopping for. English-language, US-hours experience is the asset; say which hours you have actually worked and for whose customers.
