Fractional Full-Stack Engineer

• Triage and fix bugs across our application and marketing site
• Take well-scoped tickets from investigation through deployment
• Debug production issues, third-party APIs, and failed background jobs
• Maintain dependencies, address security advisories, and keep CI green
• Improve automated test coverage, including end-to-end testing
• Work directly with our technical lead through GitHub and Linear

You should be comfortable working independently in a fractional environment. We’ll provide clear priorities and technical review, but we expect you to investigate problems, communicate clearly, and move work forward without continuous supervision. This is a good fit for an experienced engineer who wants a stable, ongoing US startup client alongside other independent work. Please apply as an individual contractor, not through an agency.

• 2+ years of professional TypeScript experience

• Strong React 18 and Next.js experience, including App Router, API routes, and server/client component boundaries

• Working knowledge of Postgres and Supabase, including SQL, migrations, Row-Level Security, Auth, and Storage

• Experience deploying and debugging applications on Vercel

• Comfortable with Git, short-lived feature branches, pull requests, and feature flags

• Able to diagnose third-party API integrations, including retries, failures, and rate limits

• Writes and maintains unit/component tests and fixes failing tests rather than skipping them

• Able to reproduce user-reported bugs, identify root causes, and ship focused fixes

• Productive with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, while critically reviewing their output

• Strong written English and ability to work independently

• Stripe subscriptions and webhooks

• Resend and/or Twilio

• Playwright or similar end-to-end testing

• PDF generation or document rendering

• Google Cloud Run or other containerized services
