Account Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager with a strong background in U.S. freight brokerage. The ideal candidate should have experience managing a book of customer accounts, handling day-to-day operations, maintaining and growing customer relationships, and taking ownership of account performance, revenue, and profitability. Strong communication, relationship management, and business development skills are important, along with a solid understanding of U.S. freight brokerage operations. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of customer accounts as the main point of contact and build strong, long-term relationships. Identify opportunities to increase volume, add new lanes, and expand services within existing accounts. Lead regular account reviews, discuss performance and pricing, and proactively address customer needs. Handle escalations from start to finish and proactively prevent operational issues. Oversee carrier booking, load coverage, tracking, and exception management. Build and maintain a reliable carrier network, negotiate rates, and protect account margins. Ensure accurate load information, statuses, and documentation in the TMS. Review carrier invoices, collect PODs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate handoff to billing.
