The full posting
Partner with the RCM Lead and CEO to help build and scale TurboPT's prior authorization services. You'll help develop and improve internal workflows, SOPs, and operational processes while supporting customer onboarding and implementation. Working directly with physical therapy clinics, you'll advise on insurance eligibility, benefits verification, prior authorizations, authorization extensions, payer requirements, and appeals. You'll create customer documentation and training materials, collaborate with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Leadership to improve workflows, stay current on Medicare and commercial payer authorization requirements, and serve as a trusted subject matter expert for both internal teams and customers.
3+ years of experience managing prior authorizations for U.S. healthcare providers. Experience working with outpatient healthcare practices, preferably Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Chiropractic, or similar specialties. Strong understanding of: Insurance eligibility and benefits verification Prior authorizations Authorization extensions and renewals Medical necessity documentation Appeals and reconsiderations Medicare and commercial payer requirements Experience creating or improving operational workflows and documentation. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working directly with customers and leading virtual training sessions.
Experience with Physical Therapy prior authorizations. Experience working with EMR or Practice Management software. Experience implementing healthcare software or supporting EMR transitions. Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and outpatient therapy documentation requirements.
