Job Duties

Lead a technical team responsible for the seamless integration and localization of client websites: Manage and train a team of web engineers; assign workflows and report on team KPIs to senior leadership (30%); Act as the final escalation point for technical issues originating from QA or clients; prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure timely resolution (10%).

Bridge the gap between complex web architecture and global content delivery, ensuring that technical configurations, data transformations, and quality standards are met for high-profile global brands; Oversee the creation and optimization of website profiles (regex-based configs, proxy and JavaScript settings) using UNIX-based editors and web interfaces (25%); Develop and maintain scripts for data transformation, automated QA, and load testing to improve team efficiency (12.5%); Analyze site structures to optimize translation logic, ensuring only relevant content is processed and localized (12.5%).

Partner with Account Managers and Production teams globally to ensure technical feasibility for website localization (9%); Define test plans for QA and ensure all localized assets (including dynamic media and video) are correctly captured and integrated (1%).

Telecommuting from any US location permitted.

Requires

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience as a web engineer, software developer, or related occupation.
  • All required experience (2 years) must include experience with HTTP/S, HTML, XML, JSON, JavaScript, and AJAX;
  • experience with Linux/UNIX environments, command-line tools, and shell scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl);
  • experience with Subversion/SVN or a comparable version management system;
  • experience managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines;
  • experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
