We are a remote workforce that uses Slack, Zoom, Jira, and agile development practices to keep in sync.</p> <h2><strong>What would you do in this role? </strong></h2> <p>As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll be working on a fast paced team responsible for the code that powers our ultimate goal of helping people invest and be smarter, happier and richer. Successful Fools have well-formed opinions (stemming from their broad experience) and the ability to jump right into code independently.</p> <h2><strong>But what does this role </strong><strong><em>actually </em></strong><strong>do?</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain web applications using a variety of technologies, including but not limited to React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS and occasionally Python. </li> <li>Collaborate with other team members on best practices for efficient and sustainable engineering, focusing on achieving a balance between aesthetics, scalability, and performance.</li> <li>Provide and receive technical feedback through pair programming and code reviews.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with design, product, and leadership teams to anticipate future needs and align our technology roadmap with long-term goals.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What do you need to apply?</strong></h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of developing highly performant and scalable web applications</li> <li>Proficiency with agentic workflows and AI-driven automation </li> <li>High level of proficiency in React, Next.js, Typescript, GraphQL and REST APIs</li> <li>Understanding of backend development using Python </li> <li>Experience with AWS</li> <li>Experience working with sophisticated application state, e.g. Apollo Client, Redux</li> <li>Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines for Python applications</li> <li>Proven track record in high-performance teams</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills</li> <li>Familiarity with security best practices in web development</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong><span style="font-size: 16px;">Compensation:</span> </strong></span></p> <p>Below is our target compensation range.
