The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
Job Description We are looking for an Infrastructure Administrator (Linux / Storage Administrator) to join Sopra Steria Polska and support the maintenance, administration, and optimization of enterprise storage environments for our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of storage infrastructure, while collaborating with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements across Linux and storage platforms. The position operates within a three-shift schedule: 08:00–16:00, 09:00–17:00, and 12:00–20:00, plus on-call duties outside of business hours on a rotational basis, including weekly and weekend shifts. Please note that we can only offer cooperation to candidates located in Poland who are open to occasional visits to our office in Katowice. Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, and support enterprise storage environments based on NetApp, Dell PowerStore, and Dell Isilon / PowerScale solutions. Manage SAN and NAS infrastructures, including storage provisioning, zoning, multipathing, and file shares (NFS/CIFS). Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability, ensuring compliance with operational standards and SLAs. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and infrastructure issues. Perform storage configuration changes, migrations, upgrades, and optimization activities. Collaborate with infrastructure and technical teams to ensure reliable and secure services. Support Linux-based environments related to storage operations and infrastructure maintenance. Participate in problem analysis, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Must have requirements: Proven experience in s torage administration , with hands-on expertise in SAN and NAS environments. Practical experience with NetApp (including MetroCluster), Dell PowerStore, and Dell Isilon / PowerScale solutions. Experience in Linux system administration. Strong understanding of storage concepts, including LUN management, zoning, multipathing, and NFS/CIFS shares. Ability to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize storage infrastructures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively. Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed technical teams. Communicative French and Polish (min. B1). Nice to have requirements: Linux or Storage-related certifications. Experience with storage migrations and infrastructure modernization projects. Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery concepts. Experience working in enterprise-scale environments. Familiarity with automation or scripting in Linux environments (e.g. Bash, Python).
