Job Description
Software Mind is seeking two Full-Stack Engineers to support end-of-life (EOL) maintenance work on a specific application at one of our clients. The work involves updating outdated dependencies, upgrading frameworks and libraries, expanding unit test coverage, and ensuring the application remains stable and functional during an extended operational period.

The work is split roughly equally between backend and frontend, with slightly more backend code present in this application. Engineers will work similarly to existing teams supporting other repositories at the client. Main Responsibilities Update and upgrade outdated libraries, dependencies, and frameworks to keep the application stable and secure.

Add and expand unit test coverage across the application. Test the system thoroughly to validate stability and functionality after upgrades. Identify and resolve issues introduced by dependency or framework changes. Collaborate with the client's engineering team to align on priorities and progress.

Qualifications

Requirements

+90% English written and oral (B2 level minimum). 8+ years of full-stack development experience. Strong backend experience with Kotlin and Gradle.

Strong frontend experience with TypeScript and React. Experience with library/dependency upgrades and framework version migrations. Solid understanding of unit testing principles and experience writing and maintaining tests.

Ability to work independently and ramp up quickly on an existing codebase. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Nice to Have

Experience working on EOL or legacy modernization projects. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience working in small, agile teams.
