About the Company Our client is an Australian civil construction company delivering major projects for the mining, resources, and energy sectors – including underground processing infrastructure, underground road construction, and complex concrete structures. Headquartered in regional New South Wales, with a team of roughly 400 people, the company is growing its project controls capability with a Philippines-based Senior P6 Planner/Scheduler. The Opportunity This is a chance to take real ownership of scheduling on large, technically demanding construction projects – not just maintaining someone else's schedule, but building it, defending it, and using it to tell the true story of a project's risk and progress. You'll work remotely from the Philippines, reporting directly to the company's Project Controls Lead, and while you'll operate independently day-to-day, you won't be on your own: the team works closely with its scheduler through complex builds, helping you ramp up to full independence over time. If you're an expert Primavera P6 scheduler who's equally comfortable running extension-of-time (EOT) and delay-analysis processes – and you want to work on projects that matter, for a company that will invest in getting you there – this role is built for you. What You'll Do • Build tender, baseline, recovery, and detailed delivery schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, aligned with contract requirements and construction methodology • Own the schedule update cycle – tracking critical and near-critical paths, float, and out-of-sequence work, and flagging material impacts before they become problems • Turn raw schedule data into insight: variance analysis, completion forecasts, look-ahead plans, and recovery/acceleration scenarios • Produce the weekly and monthly schedule dashboards, progress curves, milestone reports, and critical-path analysis that leadership relies on • Support resource planning across multiple concurrent projects, from cost-plus to fixed-price, of varying scale • Take full ownership of the extension-of-time (EOT) and delay-analysis process end-to-end – your analysis will directly support commercial and claims outcomes • Assess the time impact of proposed changes, and reconcile schedule progress against quantities, earned value, and cost reports • Keep P6 configuration, coding, and quality standards consistent across the portfolio, and run regular schedule health checks • Facilitate planning workshops and coordination meetings, and coach project teams in planning discipline What We're Looking For • 5+ years' experience as a senior planner/scheduler on civil, concrete, or heavy-construction projects – this is a senior-level role, not a general or entry-level planning position • Expert, hands-on command of Oracle Primavera P6 – WBS, coding, calendars, baselines, resources, layouts, and schedule analysis • Real, hands-on experience running extension-of-time (EOT) and delay-analysis processes – this is genuinely essential to the role, not a nice-to-have • Solid understanding of civil and structural concrete construction methodology and sequencing; specific underground-works exposure is a plus but not required – we'll train you on it • Experience preparing contract programs, updates, look-aheads, and recovery programs • Confidence with Microsoft Excel and standard project/document-control/reporting systems; Power BI experience is a bonus • Excellent, confident English communication skills – comfortable presenting schedule risk directly to senior stakeholders and clients • A relevant tertiary or trade qualification in engineering, construction management, project management, or quantity surveying is a plus Why This Role • Real ownership – you'll build and defend schedules for major mining, resources, and energy-sector construction projects, not just update someone else's spreadsheet • Genuine support – the team works closely with you through complex builds, mentoring you toward full independence rather than leaving you to figure it out alone • A senior seat at the table – your analysis directly informs commercial decisions, claims positions, and conversations with senior stakeholders • Remote, with real structure – work from home in the Philippines on a stable, predictable Monday-to-Friday schedule • Competitive, senior-level remuneration benchmarked to your Primavera P6 and EOT/delay-analysis expertise Ready to Apply? If you're a senior P6 scheduler who can run EOT and delay-analysis processes with confidence, and you're ready to bring that expertise to complex civil construction projects across mining, resources, and energy, we'd love to hear from you.
