Responsibilities As our Network Automation Software Engineer, you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes: If you like the sound of that, here’s some other things we’d love to see… Aussie core capabilities • Building end-to-end solutions and APIs used across a variety of channels (e.g. internal tools and apps, customer-facing websites and apps), utilising industry best practices and leveraging the latest technologies where possible • Automating business processes so our staff can focus on the really important stuff • Working closely with stakeholders, taking part in all stages of the software development life cycle • Solving interesting performance and architectural challenges • Writing clean, maintainable code, following best practices and adhering to coding standards • Working on special projects as directed by the Network Automation Manager • Communicating and coordinating with internal departments • Attending all relevant meetings, training or information sessions conducted by Aussie Broadband • Performing code reviews Qualifications If you like the sound of that, here’s some other things we’d love to see… • Extensive experience (5 years) in Golang development building production grade applications • Experience with containerised solutions • Developing distributed systems and processing • Practical understanding of the Golang Toolchain • Utilising external event buses and caches • Implementing workflow tools • CI/CD experience • Postgres implementations • Working knowledge of OpenAPI and OpenTelemetry implementations • Visualisation of collected metrics, logs and tracing • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm concepts • Familiarity with Networking concepts, DNS, DHCP, TACACS, RADIUS • Familiarity with configuring Cisco IOS-XR • Integration with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions • Strong communication skills • You thrive in a remote environment and can operate independently
