About the role:

As a part-time Nurse Practitioner with Plume, you will join our incredible team of diverse clinicians who provide GAHT (gender-affirming hormone therapy) and Expanded Clinical Services for our patients throughout the United States.

This is a part-time patient care position in which you will provide longitudinal care for a panel of patients. Your time will be spent onboarding new patients and providing follow-up care for them (lab management, prescription management, answering clinical questions). We have a large support team that takes care of patient account logistics so you can focus on clinical care.

This is a completely online, work-from-home role. We are a healthcare startup, so we are seeking folks excited about changing the paradigm of medical care so patients and clinicians are truly centered. We heavily leverage technology, so being comfortable with computers and electronic medical record systems in a rapidly changing environment is critical to doing this work.

We are specifically seeking Nurse Practitioners with California, Colorado, DC, Iowa, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Wyoming licenses. Bonus points if you have Connecticut, Indiana, New Jersey, and Ohio!

Responsibilities::

• Conduct comprehensive, evidence-based virtual medical evaluations.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and sign charts within 24 hours.

• Respond to patient questions with clarity and care.

• Order necessary laboratory tests, interpret results, and prescribe appropriate medications.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver the highest standards of care.

• Dedicate a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours per week.

• Maintain Plume’s high level of quality care, including maintaining excellent care with our above-average patient satisfaction scores, ensuring appointment availability, and responding to patient messages within one business day

Must-Have::

• A deep appreciation and understanding of the trans experience

• At least one active license, and in good standing with your professional board

• Experience prescribing behavioral health medications (depression and anxiety)

• Familiarity with, and experience using, established GAHT guidelines, including an informed consent model of care

• Experience and comfort collaborating with diverse teams

• Comfortable with 100% remote patient care

• Strong technical background (familiarity with EMRs, email communication, app-based platform use, etc.)

• Strong organization and communication skills

Nice-To-Have::

• Three or more state licenses
• Experience with telehealth and preferably direct-to-consumer (DTC) telehealth/startup work

Compensation::

• $65 per hour

Plume's Clinician compensation model has been established as a tiered system. As a clinician's panel grows, so does the amount paid per hour. This tiered system will be discussed during the interview process.
