In this role, you will join a compact legal team of two lawyers and support the business with a wide range of legal matters. The position is full-time and permanent. Find out more about Lassila & Tikanoja here. 🌍 In this role, you will support the business in negotiating various types of commercial agreements, advice in public tendering processes and support the business in compliance topics, including privacy, by developing instructions, trainings and monitoring. You will also support and advice in questions related to corporate governnance, claims, disputes and M&A. You will act as a trusted legal advisor to the business, providing practical, solution-oriented guidance and helping the company navigate legal matters with confidence. ”We prefer to see sustainability as an opportunity, rather than a threat. We believe that making the world a better place can also be fun.” -Jorma Mikkonen, SVP, Public Affairs and Sustainability @ Lassila & Tikanoja We are looking for a lawyer with: 🔹 A Finnish master’s degree in law and at least five years of relevant post-graduate experience (however this is just the minimum requirement, and the role has plenty to offer a more senior lawyer as well) preferably from an in-house legal position or from a law firm or legal consultancy setting. 🔹 A solid background in drafting and negotiating various types of commercial contracts. Prior experience in giving business support in public tendering processes, M&A projects, disputes, compliance, governance, privacy, and/or environmental legal topics are considered as an advanatage. 🔹 A proactive, resilient, and can-do attitude – you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves, take initiative, and get things done. 🔹 A solution-oriented mindset and competence to prioritize assignments - you can give concrete, clear and actionable advice and you are able to adapt to pressure and short deadlines. As a member of a compact legal team, you are expected to work proactively and independently when supporting your key business stakeholders. 🔹 Strong communication skills – fluency in Finnish and English (both written and spoken) is required.
