We're looking for a Head of Strategic Alliances to build and own the external relationships that shape where Lemonade goes next. Reporting directly into C-suite you'll work across the business — product, growth, insurance, claims, legal with a global lens identifying opportunities that matter to propel Lemonade forward.
Some of that will look like distribution, products, technology, or category entry. The mix will shift, and we're looking for someone who's comfortable with that. We believe two things matter for every leadership role at Lemonade: leadership that sets the bar for excellence, builds high performing teams, and holds them accountable, and strategy that thinks several years ahead and turns ambitious plans into reality.
These aren't buzzwords, they're how we actually work. Our AI-first approach isn't just a tagline either. We're building the future of insurance with AI at the center, and we need people who are genuinely excited to learn and grow alongside these tools.
In this role you'll Own a portfolio of senior external relationships across insurance, technology, and financial services Identify and prioritize opportunities that open new channels, markets, or capabilities — and make the case for the ones worth pursuing Lead deals end to end: sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and handing off to the teams who operate them Build the internal alignment a deal needs to actually happen, across multiple functions and geographies Represent Lemonade externally with credibility at the executive level Bring structure to an area that doesn't have much of it yet, including how we evaluate, track, and prioritize opportunities Work directly with the executive team on questions that don't have obvious owners What you'll need 12+ years in a senior commercial, corporate development, or deal-facing role with other businesses — ideally in fast-moving organization 2-3+ years of experience managing and mentoring high-performing, efficient teams, with a proven ability to foster a strong team culture and high morale MBA or Advanced Degree, a plus A track record of sourcing and closing complex, multi-stakeholder agreements with real business outcomes Comfort operating without a playbook, and the judgment to build one as you go Fluency with insurance, fintech, or adjacent regulated industries Genuine executive presence Strong commercial and analytical instincts, and the ability to say no to the wrong opportunity Ability to work in our Soho office 3 days per week Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture *Please note that we are unable to sponsor applicants for work visas Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants from these states; Colorado, California, Montana, Hawaii, New Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $275,000 - $325,000 plus generous equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Speak to your recruiter to hear more about the specific salary range for your preferred location.
