We are looking for you to join our tech team in Berlin, Munich, or Hamburg. 1KOMMA5° is creating Germany's largest one-stop-shop for the sale, installation, and servicing of solar panels, heat pumps, electricity solutions, and charging infrastructure. Deine Position

You will work on transforming the business of installing renewable technologies. With our core business software platform we streamline ground operations and rooftop installation to power the energy transition in private homes and small businesses world-wide. As a Working Student Software Engineering (m/f/d) in 1KOMMA5°, you will work in a cross-functional team alongside experienced frontend and backend engineers, product managers and designers in a collaborative environment. You'll contribute to building and maintaining software solutions while learning best practices in development, deployment, and operations. With mentorship and support, you’ll grow your technical skills and help the team deliver impactful solutions.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Discover, evaluate, implement, and deploy software solutions for our core customer-facing products
  • Extending and maintaining business critical applications
  • Help shaping actionable requirements from complex and undefined business problems
  • Foster a culture of experiment-driven innovation within the team
  • Improve developer experience and customer satisfaction by constantly avoiding/reducing tech-debt, automating as much as possible, documenting decisions, improving the quality, and ultimately building software people love to use
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and software engineers

Depending on your focus, you will work with some of the following technologies:

  • Backend: Ruby On Rails, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS
  • Web Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Vercel
  • Mobile: Flutter
  • Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, PubSub, CloudSQL, Firestore, BigQuery)
  • Observability: Datadog
  • IaC: Terraform
  • Deployment: GitHub Actions

Dein Profil

  • Enrolled at a German university for at least two more semesters, studying computer science or a comparable field, and willing to work 20 hours per week
  • Some experience writing maintainable, self-describing, reusable, and testable code with TypeScript and other major back-end or full-stack technologies
  • Basic knowledge of designing and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • An agile and results-oriented mindset with a passion for supporting your team
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to tackling new challenges, contributing to an ambitious and dynamic company
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English (German is a plus)
  • Residency in Germany
